Dude is a retard.
"The next point of contention of course is Halo 3: ODST. This was originally slated to be downloadedable content for the megaseller, Halo 3. However one could only assume that Microsoft needed another big First-Party exclusive title for this year, so they decided to change it into a fullfledged game. That’s fine, but in this transition, somehow the content didn’t mirror the change in packaging. Translation: The content is still that of a $19.99 downloa...
Killzone 2 is the reason I bought a PS3, and it was worth it, especially considering I've since enjoyed Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, inFamous, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
I'll definitely get Killzone 3 whenever it releases, but I don't think they'd want to release it late in 2010 with it going up against two other big time exclusives in Resistance 3 and Halo: Reach.
Early 2011 sounds a bit more plausible, but I could be wrong....
Comparing a measurable trait (speed) of vehicles to liking or disliking a video game, which is based on opinion, doesn't make any sense.
If someone doesn't like puzzle solving and platforming, then they probably wouldn't like Uncharted 2. That is THEIR opinion based on THEIR preferences.
Who cares what Pachter thinks?
Mass Effect is my most anticipated game at the moment.
I know it's a bit contrary to what I said (about investing a lot of hours), but I've logged a ton of hours on Mass Effect, as well as Fable 2. I've played through Mass Effect like four or five times, and want to get another playthrough in before ME2.
I'm definitely interested in more RPGs, I just don't know where to start and don't want to overwhelm myself with several games that require tons of hours. I don't wa...
Great post. It's sad that fan(boy)s seem to think Uncharted 2 is entitled to receive 9.5s and 10s across the board.
If YOU love the game, then by all means, go PLAY it, and stop complaining because someone else has a differing opinion than you do.
Here's a little factoid for you people: Nolan North, who awesomely voices Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series, also awesomely voiced Sgt. Forge in Halo Wars.
I had no idea until I saw the credits for Halo Wars tonight.
Also, for what it's worth, this reviewer is entitled to his opinion. Uncharted 2, however, is NOT entitled to 10/10 across the board from every reviewer.
Do I think the game is an 8? No..I think it's probably about 9, but the guy is entit...
I downloaded the vids on the Marketplace, and...it didn't look to appealing to be honest.
I'm gonna be swamped (I say it like it's a bad thing lol) with other games for a while, so even if I do try it out, it won't be for a while.
I've only played Mass Effect and Fable 2. Those were my first RPGs I've ever played.
I want to get more into RPGs, but I don't usually have a lot of time to invest in a game. Between playing other games and playing MP with friends, I don't have the time to invest anywhere from 40 to hundreds of hours in one game.
:-/
Sounds awesome. I'm sure if it's in the game, Infinity Ward will write the story to make sense.
A little more than three weeks away, and I can't wait!
Don't worry what the minority around here is saying, this game is awesome and still being on XBL's top ten (eighth last week) shows that people still love to play this game.
I haven't put the game in my 360 for a while, but that's because I've been busy with so many other games. Whenever I do play GTAIV, I always have a blast. I love Free Roam with friends...just so much fun to be had.
I can't wait to get The Ballad of Gay Tony, play the campaign, and then mess aroun...
"am i suppose to feel insulated by your weak comment ?"
No it isn't supposed to make you warm, actually quite the opposite. It's supposed to make you feel cold.
"People Bought GTAIV and Halo 3 mainly for Hype, and look at the disappointment."
Who is disappointed? Certainly not the Halo 3 fans who play it every day and make it the top played game on XBL.
Certainly not the GTA IV fans who play it every day and make it the eighth most played game on XBL.
Hmmm, I think it's just PS3 fanboys who are disappointed that PS3 exclusives aren't played as much as other games.
Me personally? I don't ca...
Day one buy. This is easily my most anticipated game at the moment. Hopefully I'll be done with all my Christmas games by then.
Sidenote: I hope Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 come to PS3. The first is one is epic and should be experienced by everyone. If the second one lives up to the first and improves the small issues it had, it'll be another classic that everyone should experience as well.
Play games, not consoles!
Who cares what Pachter thinks?
LMFAO...one of my favorite movies ever. It has sooooo many quotable lines...hell scenes for that matter.
Props to you!
Bungie is a classy developer and the fans love them and support them because of how much they support the community. Take a visit to Bungie.net and see the weekly updates, behind the scenes info, stat tracking and everything else they give to the fans.
Every developer should aspire to be as community driven as Bungie is.
From the demo of Uncharted 2 MP, the matchmaking is a lot like Halo 3's setup. Party up with people, go into the lobby while it matches people in, and then after the match you can party up, or back out straight to the lobby to start a new game with new players.
Fanboy much?
There are lots of people (like me) who try to play all the great games, including (this year alone): Killzone 2, Halo Wars, inFamous, Halo 3: ODST, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (playing right now), Modern Warfare 2 (coming soon), etc. Some people buy a console ONLY for one or two games. If Halo is that game, which by sales it very well could be, then that's their choice.
To add to your point about Halo Wars...it was also one of the most downloaded demos on the Marketplace. I'm sure a lot of those turned into purchases, because I'm one of them. I saw a few videos and didn't think much of it, and then came the demo and convinced me to buy it. I played the game a good amount as well and it's a really fun game and easily accessible, a lot more than RTS games for the hardcore RTS fan.
