Can you please cry some more about a game you don't want getting a good review score?
I really wish people would stop crying about this game's length.
It has a campaign, it has firefight mode, it adds a few maps to the Halo 3 MP experience, and there's also the forthcoming Reach beta.
That's a better value than single player only Heavenly Sword, inFamous, Uncharted, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Dead Space and any other SP only game that retailed for $60.
Get over it.

I played a little bit of Firefight at the ODST Mobile Tour that came through here and the 20 minutes I was able to play was awesome.
Personally, I think the ODST campaign looks like it'll be awesome. Everyone has their own tastes though, and I can accept people not liking it. I just don't like complete and total bias towards something with no real reason.
You could stay out of ODST articles since you have no interest in the game.
Pre-ordered mine in-store from Best Buy and hitting up the midnight release!

It just felt like your comment reeked of bias...saying your friend said it was "useless." I just find it hard to believe that someone who has always been a huge halo fan (your words) would call it useless.

Or get this, you could release single player only games (InFamous, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Bioshock, Mass Effect) for $60. Were those games ripoffs? I've played three of the five, paid full price for them, and didn't feel ripped off at all.
In my opinion, ODST offers more value with a campaign, short or not, and Firefight, as well as the Reach beta. I'll probably spend tons of time exploring the city. I'll probably play through the campaign numerous times by myself, as well as...
People "polish Bungie's knob" because they continually support their games and their community.
If other devs were as in touch with their games' fanbase, they might have the continued support from the fans like Bungie does.
When you're playing Uncharted 2, in one of the best sequences in the game, are you gonna be sitting there thinking, "Gee whiz, this game SHOULD have received a 10 from IGN. I mean, GTA IV did, so why didn't this game? It's obviously better than GTA IV. Who are IGN to say GTA IV is better than Uncharted 2? Who do they think they are god damnit?!?!?"
No. So get over it. If you think .5 is unfair, go out into the real world kid. That's where life is unfair. And guess what?...

Look, ODST offers more than those new IPs at the same price tag. It has more replay value.
I paid $60 for inFamous and thought it was well worth it. I'm sure ODST will be well worth it as well.
Whatever though, take your biased opinions and stay out of ODST articles, a game you probably won't ever play.
