I hate GameStop with a passion. The ONLY reason I'll buy from them is for an exclusive pre-order item. If possible, I'll pre-order, get the bonus, buy the game elsewhere and then return one of them to GameStop.
Mass Effect is probably my favorite game, and GS having the exclusive pre-order armor and weapon pisses me off. It's all good though, I try to f*ck them over any chance I get by returning stuff.
This is easily my most anticipated game. I'm playing through for my sixth time right now, and the game is still awesome. ME isn't a graphics powerhouse, but it isn't supposed to be. I do think it's an awesome looking game though, but it's all about the story. The story is just so freakin' epic.
That sounds like it'd be a lot of fun!

I'll probably play through again leading up to Christmas, because after Christmas I won't have time for any older games. Getting Fallout 3 GOTY, Dragon Age: Origins and Assassin's Creed II. I don't even know if I'll be able to finish those three before Mass Effect II. If I don't, I'll just have to go back to them because MEII will take precedent over all games upon release.
The 360 controller feels better in my hands. DS3 feels a little small to me, and I don't think I have large hands.
That said, I can game with each, and I wouldn't pick a console based on the controller, though it would factor in a little bit probably.
I do love the triggers on the 360 controller, but after using the nub triggers on DS3 for any length of time, they feel really good. The analog sticks feel better on DS3.
Good article.
I proudly tell people I'm a gamer. I get odd looks at work when I talk about games sometimes, but I don't really care. I love gaming, but I still work and am married. I play when I have the time. I'd rather spend $60 on a game that is potentially unlimited value, than $60 at a bar where it's eventually pissed down the toilet.
A great game that has a lot of replay value is easily the best bang for your buck entertainment.
Dead Space is awesome. I GameFly'd it and it was so good I had to buy it.
It took me a while to play it, just because I was a little skeptical since it was an EA game, but Dead Space 2 will be a day one purchase for me.
I can't wait for pixel counters to say DS2 has a better framerate on Xbox 360, DS2 on PS3 has better textures and 10 more pixels! Gotta love multiplat comparisons!
I'm anticipating Reach as much as the next guy, but WTF does Halo have to do with Dead Space 2? Stop being a retard and stay on topic, numb nutz.
Bungie is a great developer, and they don't have anything to prove to anyone. Sony owners would be lucky to have a Bungie developed game.
You don't like Halo, that's fine. Anyone who thinks it's just a generic FPS doesn't know what they're talking about. All of the different weapons that are so unique, and people say it's generic. I haven't seen so many unique and original weapons in a game as what Halo has.
Also, they blend vehicle combat, both land and air, amazing...
To those saying Xbox fanboys are the only ones commenting negatively, I seem to remember Sony fanboys saying something about the d!ck in GTAIV:The Lost and Damned, as well as stuff about playing the expansion titled The Ballad of Gay Tony.
It would seem the shoe is on the other foot now.
Me personally? I don't really care either way. I played TLaD and TBoGT, and I'm definitely interested in this game. A male shower scene won't keep me from playing a great game.
It's hard to say if it's overhyped or not. I mean, CoD4 is the reason this game is getting so much attention, and I went back and replayed CoD4's campaign, and I have to say that it is quite a bit better than MW2's campaign. The awesomeness of CoD4's campaign merits the hype for MW2, in my opinion, but I don't think the campaign lived up to my personal expectations. The story wasn't as over the top as MW2's and felt a bit more realistic. MW2 didn't really have any jaw dropping moments that re...
I've taken my MW2 disc out numerous times.
CoD4 is in now. I had been stuck at a part on the campaign on Veteran, but since I beat MW2 on Veteran, I felt like I should do the same for CoD4. Amazingly, it only took me a few tries, whereas it had taken me probably hundreds of tries until coming back to it. Now the only achievement I have left is Mile High Club.
I'm not sure when MY Xbox 360's birthday is, but I originally got my (first) 360 Christmas of '05. My fiance (at the time, now wifey) pre-ordered it the first day pre-orders were available to be made. She came home and said, "I already know what I'm getting you for Christmas and I've already made all the proper reservations." I knew exactly what it was, and then the day the 360 launched, she brought it home and wrapped it and put it under the tree. I was like a little kid again sinc...
I can understand saying that Acti is milking the Hero series with that many titles, but CoD isn't really being milked yet. I really only got into CoD with CoD4:MW, so I've only played three of them. Maybe with the others it is being milked, but there still haven't been eight CoD games released in a year lol.
That said, I'm happy to say I haven't purchased a single Hero, or rhythm/music game, and I don't plan to either.
Odd...I dislike GameStop MORE because of their exclusive pre-order bonuses.
Um no one cares that you stopped gaming to do other stuff.
Why come to a GAMING site and tell people there's more to do than game? People enjoy gaming, you don't anymore, good for you. Go find a soapbox somewhere else from which to preach.
Ads haven't ever bothered me while on Xbox Live. Nothing is ever "in your face" intrusive.
Lovely breasts...they should definitely be milked!
Mass Effect has some of the best voice acting. Keith David and Seth Green really shine in the first one.
I can't wait for ME2.
