You do get a lot of the story and history from ME1, but I believe all the Codexes would be available if you don't import. Granted, reading doesn't give you the same feeling as learning it through the gameplay and conversations, but you can still get the info.
Also, the Council living or dying in ME1 has NO bearing on ME2 other than one brief encounter back on the Citadel.

The MAJOR choices made in ME1 really had minimal bearing on ME2. Was this done with the intention that ME2 would come to PS3 and they didn't have to leave out the PS3 audience?
Because as a 360 owner, I've supported the game and put in hundreds of hours, and for the PS3 to get content not available on the console which I played the game would be annoying.
The gamers who bought the games and supported it, and yet they can't get all the content? You don't see how that would make some fans angry?
If there's content exclusive to PS3, it would be a slap in the face to 360 owners who have supported the Mass Effect franchise from the beginning.
I'm happy for PS3 only owners to get the game because it's awesome, but I would be kinda pissed for it to get something extra not available on 360. I could easily go buy it and play it on my PS3, but it would be the principle.
Bonus content better not be exclusive content.

Exactly dude. You can do so much stuff in Halo 3 because of Forge and Theater. I've spent so many hours just messing around in Forge with friends.

Halo is great because it blends awesome run n gun shooting with great ground and air vehicular gameplay and has some truly unique weapons. For someone to say Halo is typical is rather ignorant. Bungie has done a tremendous job creating unique weapons that do different things against different enemies, etc.
The gameplay is extremely balanced, and to top it off, Bungie hasn't allowed Halo 3 to be exploited to death.

I've played through the campaign three times I think.
I would have given MP more time, but the lack of a party system killed it for me. Most of my friends are on Xbox, and the couple that are on PS3, we couldn't join the same game because of differing ranks. We tried starting our own games, and it would take way too long for it get any players.
