Totally agree.
I downloaded the demo on the PS3 and it's utter balls. So seriously PC only guys, you are missing nothing.
You do realise you don't have to buy them all on release day?
They won't take them off the shelves the next day or anything.
Like you I'll probably get most of them if not all. But the only one that I'll be getting day one is Uncharted 3.
I'll probably be too busy playing the games that I bought before November ie, Deus EX: HR, Resistance 3, Battlefield 3, Rage and Bodycount! The whole of the rest of this year is nuts for gaming, not just November!
Oh well,I must've been confused with the external drive.
I just remember having trouble formatting my external drive for it in FAT32 cause windows won't format a drive in FAT32 anymore. Had to download some other software to do it.
Yup, PS3's can go to 1tb. Can't go any higher than that though with a FAT32 file system.
On topic: I know it's optional but geez, that's a freekin big install!
" The money men in suits kind of control the industry's direction, and if bigger money is made elsewhere, then that's where the focus will shift. "
Basically you have kinda agreed with what I was trying to say.
The money men will shift their focus to those platforms. Meaning that the devs and publishers who aren't only in it for the money will continue to make high quality games for home consoles and PC's. While all the money grabbers who don...
Demon's Souls was quite good for that too, there were some areas you could go right from the beginning but you had absolutely no chance of defeating the enemies there. It felt good going back after a quick grind and handing them their ass.
Just a quick point, you are going on like PC gamers are moaning because they can't buy the game from their favourite shop.
It's more than that though, Steam isn't just a DD service like D2D or downloading from GAME or Amazon. It's an actual platform, much like having a console on your PC. BF3 not being available on Steam is more akn to it not being available on you console of choice and then you have to go out and buy a whole other console just to play it.
By the gods, if he'd played the first 150mins of a COD game, he'd be writing a review not a preview lol.
My friend who is a SF die hard thinks it is. Personally I thought Alpha was the best, probably just because that's the one I spent most time with.
Your avatar is awesome @TheDarkness.
@mcnablejr
LMAO
That was my first thought.
No not at all. It may well make life difficult for casual gaming devices such as the DS, Wii and possibly the Vita but not for actual core gaming home consoles.
Btw, PS/2 connection is way better for gaming than USB. There is no rollover problems (every key on the board can be pressed at once and register, USB is usually only 3 keys will register at once), plus PS/2 is much faster and doesn't use any CPU power, whereas USB does.
So stick with your PS/2 keyboard :-)
Steelseries actually recommend using the bundled USB to PS/2 adapter which makes you wonder why they even bother making them USB in the first place. I suppose some mobo...
@malol
You'll be fine with that, there were people in the alpha with much lesser systems than that and it ran fine.
Hopefully this'll fix the Wipeout HD leaderboards, they haven't up dated properly since hackgate.
This is true. Me and my 2 friends always play BC2 together and when we do, we almost always win and are mostly the top 3 on our side.
Funnily enough when I play on my own I dont always win, teamwork is the key. People don't seem to care but it makes a massive difference when you play as a team and communicate properly.
I was just reading about this in PC gamer, it sounds pretty awesome tbh, look forward to hearing more about it.
Lower the price and I'll think about it. Origin is the most expensive place to buy Battlefield 3 from, it's not worth 2 days more beta access!
It is going public, but not until the PS+ users have had it for a week, thats according to the eu blog.
