@dan
They have done that, that's what happened in the alpha. Come to think of it, that happens in BC2 as well, only in rush mode though.
At least now they've made it so that teams spawn points cant be captured, in older games the enemy team could capture all the points on the map. Then if one team had captured all the spawn points and everyone in your squad was dead, that was it, match over.
@Sancho
I'm a huge fan of both, and I'm afraid there is no way Resistance has more fans than KillZone.
And sadly Gears has more fans than both put togther.
Sales wise, no doubt about it.
Quality wise? That's your "opinion".
From everything I've read and seen so far on this game, it looks like it's going to be amazing.
As for Duke, that game was always gonna be a stinker, I mean seriously, it was what 14 years late to the party! I still think if they had launched it as a budget downloadable title instead of a full price game people would have been more receptive.
Basically all I want is TimeSplitters 2 made with cryengine graphics. I'd be happy with that!
In fact I'd rather they just did that, I'm too scared they'll screw it right up!
There are old battlefield die hards who even complain about rush mode being in there, so TDM will drive them insane.
Personally don't care, I just won't bother with it.
Damn COD fans lol, it's CONQUEST.
I only played it enough to get the medal/pin for it. I really didn't think there would be a team deathmatch mode in this game, I'm sure that will piss off quite a few Battlefield fans.
lol, I should think you'll be able to run pretty much anything for the next couple of years at max settings with that pc, have fun.
And personally I wouldn't bother with overclocking that, your CPU has auto turbo mode where it'll go up to 3.7ghz if it needs to. In your position overclocking will be more hassle than its worth.
Don't bother up grading from a gtx460 to a 560. Absolutely no point you'll get like an extra 5fps if that.
Much better off spending less money on another 460 and sli them, a far better option than a 560.
Imho though there is currently no need to up grade from a 460 unless your trying to play at super high resolutions.
There were people in the alpha with what would be considered fairly poor gaming PC's and it ran fine, I'm talking people still using 8800gt's.
I could run the alpha fine on my old system which was a E6850 dual core 3.2ghz with 4gb ddr2 and a gtx460. It wasn't a buttery smooth 60fps but it ran fine and was more than playable.
So yes you might need an uber PC to fully enjoy it at max but you can play it perfectly well on a pretty modest PC.
I've been looking forward to this for ages, I know WW2 has been done to death but this game looks awesome. Got 20% off on Steam too cause I have the original :-)
Dishonored is bringing the steam punk back, that game looks good so far.
It absolutely is not essential, but it is good to have. I chat across games quite often on my PC and probably would use it on PS3 if it was there.
I don't care either way if it is there or not though. It's not the most amazing thing in the world like some 360 fans would have you believe, but it does get used.
Thing is though, FIFA didn't really do anything to PES, PES imploded on itself. PES 5 on the PS2 is still the best game in the series, they've been getting progressively worse since then.
FIFA didn't win the war, PES threw it away.
2 things I currently dislike about the R3 beta, it takes too many shots to kill someone (unless you get a headshot obviously) and the motion blur when you sprint actually makes my eyes feel a bit weird.
Other than that though, it's awesome.
Never been a fan of MMO's but this looks like it could change my opinion.
I am a father of one, while we're at it, and I never did finish it.
Nothing to do with not having time, more to do with me not having any patience.
Ghosts and Goblins! It was rock hard.
Pretty much 90% of games back in the old days when saving was a pipe dream.
It should depend on the weapon used, getting shot anywhere on the body with a 50cal sniper would spell death no doubt.
Christ even getting shot in the leg by one of those would probably kill you unless you received immediate medical attention.
Thing is though, if they made it realistic, one shot to the body with a pistol would be enough to kill you. They have to balance realism Vs fun.
