Don't even bother, whenever an article like this pops up and someone posts these videos, they're just ignored.
So this guy is basing his opinion that Sony doesn't know how to market the move off one poor experience? What about all those articles from people using Kinect with Macy's with the cameras set up at poor angles and uninterested MS employees too busy checking their phones to help out the gamers?
Sony's marketing the Move as the Wii, done right, with depth perception and 1:1 movement with HD visuals and the power of the PS3/Blu-Ray and 3D behind it. Don't see w...
I really don't think this will matter much, the average consumer won't even be aware of this until they've already purchased it and taken it out of the box and read the directions.
That said, this may reach PSPgo status in Japan. With the Japanese apparent disinterest in Move and Kinect already, telling them they need a lot of space to play is really gonna shun them considering the size of living arrangements in Japan.
Hopefully they have agreements with all the Bulls from those teams to use their likenesses in the game. It'd be a shame if you got you use Jordan but Pippen was player 89, Rodman was player 99 etc.
Haha, this guy bought an HD-DVD drive? Sounds like he's a burned MS-er who's upset that Blu-Ray became the next gen format of choice
Ya and Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are the best musical acts out there because they sell a lot of merch and cds
True but people like "new technology". If (when) MS puts out some pretty, flashy and colorful commercials for Kinect before the holidays, kids will DEMAND it.
Kid: I want the KINECT!
Exasperated Mom/Dad: But honey you already have your Wii
Kid: I WANT KINECT
Exasperated Mom/Dad: No, you have a Wii already
Kid: KINECT KINECT KINECT KINECT
Exasperated Mom/Dad: We'll take the Kinect please.
Store employee: You nee...
Doesn't matter how many core gamers buy it so long as millions of casuals do. Which they will. This will appeal to casual gamers because of the Kinect buzz words about no controller, voice recognition. That's the type of stuff that the typical American consumer will be drawn too.
MS isn't going to come out and say "Yes, we are clearly marketing this towards casual gamers. We do not need core gamers to buy this for in order for it to succeed, we do not need ...
MS is pretty good at glossing over those costs. Sure the cost of entry for a MS product may be 50 bucks less than a Sony product at times, but when you add in other MS "extras" that are standard features on Sony products then suddenly the price scale dramatically tips in favor of Sony.
I mentioned this in another thread, while Sony has rebounded from the dark days of 2006 and 2007, they have yet to regain their mainstream mojo. You watch TV shows/movies, and when people reference video games they mentioned "the X-Box" whereas in the late 90s/early 2000s you would always hear "the PlayStation". Obama wanted to get his message out against video games, he mostly talked about "the X-Box".
People naturally gravitate towards what i...
I don't get why this guy thought that the PSPgo was supposed to replace the PSP. Regardless of how you buy the games, it was still a PSP! It would be like saying that the PS3 and the slim PS3 were two different types of platforms. Sony said that the Go was basically an experiment (not the best way to put it to the few thousand people who made the plunge lol), but I bet it cost them nothing since the technology was six years old and they were able to remove anything that had to do with ...

Ugh counting the "Internet Apps" as Live features is so aggravating. The PS3 has a INTERNET BROWSER. It can do Facebook etc and MORE. I can pay my bills online with my PS3, the 360 can't do that! Then I can follow it up with a nice "J-Tag" session while perusing some adult content...I mean...eh dammit.
/sarcasm
I know, I hate how the media constantly hates on the 360 and showers the PS3 with nothing but praise. It's sickening.
I'd say Fat Princess, Siren, Super Star Dust HD, Pixel Junk Monsters, Wipeout HD are all pretty good games available on PSN. I think that's the best you can really do. I'm prone to looking at downloading games off PSN as "impulse buys". Games in the $5-$20 buck range.
The more "depth" a game has the more expensive its going to be to develop, the more likely it would just end up being a disc based game anyway with the usual 50-60 dollar price ...
You get less money obviously. When I traded my PS2 in for my PS3 back in the day (2007), I think they had like a deal where you got $100-150 bucks trade in value on a PS2, two controllers and a memory card if memory serves. Unfortunately my PS2 no longer read the blue discs, they still took it and said they get them repaired, but I ended up with like $50 bucks instead.
Big screwjob overall, since I don't think any PS2 read the blue discs by 2007 (nor were there any newer...
End of the day, MS isn't going to change how they do things until sales for games like Gears and Halo are eclipsed by a Sony exclusive.
That's not to say they are right in how they do things, but it has worked for them this generation. I'm also not saying they are wrong. There's no denying that Gears and Halo sell sell sell like crazy. But then, so does Lil Wayne.
In a way, you could look at MS as the Young Money of video games. Wayne (Halo...

Clearly it's coming from Sony, so I guess its a biased source, but according to the chart they released, the Wii only does X,Y axis tracking

Charts like these can lead to skewing the facts your way (MS including the WiiFit as a necessary accessory in their chart for instance), but I don't think Sony would j...
