Here I figured the 'dolls' would have referred to the NPC's in the game.
Because America.
Guy, I have FFIV on my 3ds and emulated on my Shield. I know its a great game....on my little screens. The problem I have is these crappy 'remakes' keep getting churned out with no real improvements.
Charming on a mobile unit maybe. On my projector it looks like hot garbage smeared with vasoline.
FilthyCasual nailed it on all points. 'Modder is now a dirty word almost overnight' So, so true. Modders used to be our heros, our people that had the fortitude to stand up to DLC practices and make something from gamers, for gamers.
Great article that brings up some great points.
Yeah I'm in the "Suckered by Kinect" crowd. I truly enjoyed the kinect on 360. The kinect was a major factor in my purchase. When MS failed to support it, I stopped supporting the X1.
When I think of all the capital they invested in the Kinect, then the misfire at launch, and finally a price cut, Microsoft must be deep deep in the hole on the X1 so far. I wonder if they will ever regain what they initially invested in this current gen console.
You should maybe start looking into a Vive sooner than later. With Oculus dragging their feet, devs arent going to wait on their products to go to market, they will start supplying the Steam Store.
Valve performed a masterstroke by revealing the Vive release date, and beating the Oculus to market.
Hard to say where this is headed, but some of the prices are pretty crazy already. ($7.00 for Wet and Cold?!)
I would have much rather a more streamlined pricing experience. Possibly one where you can have the option of paying the Modder what you think is fair for content.
I really dont see a difference between this and full-on DLC. And I am no fan of DLC in any measure. Just release the full friggen game already...
This is a hazardous practice to be playing, especially with PC gamers. High prices put gamers in a defensive shell and wont entice us to ever pay full price for a game. We would rather play our backlog until the next Steam Sale comes along.
So when new games release on Pc for $70CDN its small wonder why they dont do all that well upon release. Then comes the vicious circle of rhetoric regarding devs blaming gamers blaming devs....
The Iron Man mod was probably one of the best to come out of GTA IV. Shame it gimped my games during the occasional cutscene, but well worth flying around at Mach 1.
All tech has to start somewhere. The first cell phone I had was a brick that was impossible to text on. Did that sway me from owning one? Of course not. If nobody takes chances on new gear, then the market will stale.
The HTC Vive is already being touted as the Oculus-killer. It is due to ship in November and has Massive support from Steam. Dev kits just went online today. If anyone has a real shot at making VR viable, it's Valve.
Tell us OpieWinston, King of Neck Beards, what is thy best offering on Netflix?
Bojack Horseman was the best thing to come out of Netflix. Lets be real here.
Pc GAMERS probably have quite a backlog of games, so I doubt the wait was too painful. The New gen consoles keep pumping out Remasters and such, so why is waiting for 1080p/60fps such a bad thing?

A Gtx 970 will be great bang for your buck, especially with the 4gb of VRAM. AMD also do great budget cards, they just didnt benchmark as high with this particular game.
I feel that this could be a loaded question...
I heard tell of Project Cars adding VR support to Pc. Would love to see more racers natively support it.
Damn, Valve. We used to be cool....
