You make it sound like crappy ports are the norm. Far from it. If it was the norm, PC gamers wouldn't rise up and demand a better Batman.
I was wondering what was going on. I think it's odd they didn't address it on their website. "Down for maintenance" or "we are experiencing technical difficulties."
Word of mouth will be pretty easy to spread with Social Media nowadays. Morpheus has impressed so far. All it takes is one killer IP and it will take off.
VR isnt just for gaming. The PGA tour is being filmed in VR. Movies are using VR to promote their new films. History channel is spending big bucks on a VR feature. Disney has built a new studio strictly for VR titles.
After watching a 3D movie on the DK2, I am pretty confident to say 3D movies may make a comeback. Since the HMD's show you 2 completely different images and doesnt rely on active/passive 3d glasses, the quality is amazing. No more cross-stalk or eye strain.
I think VR will be amazing and popular. The momentum behind it is incredible. 3D tvs cant really be compared to VR. Tv is like looking through a window, VR is being there.
Arguing with a fool only proves there are two.
I dont waste time on trolls.
I have a Wii U, and in my most humble opinion, Nintendo still makes the best platformers.
Im just looking to keep my Pc catalog well-rounded.
@ Serg,
You completely missed my point. Lets not muddy the waters with cell phone architecture...
You are echoing exactly what I was saying about console games being made On Pc, but made For consoles.
I dont expect them to flick a switch on a console game an BOOM! The game works perfect.
Buuuut, you would have to think a Pc port would be easier to handle than a console port.
Their website says its "Available 2016 on XBOX ONE and STEAM."
Considering all console games are built on Pc, it does seem a little odd that you would port a game back onto Pc.
Im not a Programmer, but you would think it would be easier getting a port to Pc than to console.
Cant wait for this to come to PC. Not enough fun platformers make it to us.
I love the support this game is still getting years after release.
"couldnt hold a candle to AMD if AMD had decent drivers"
How about you slow your roll until AMD starts releasing those decent drivers?
What do you think they will do with AR? Ive only seen the Minecraft demo and thats really the biggest application I can see being used. Im just having a hard time seeing the potential for AR right now. It does sound like it has a lot of tech integrated into the hololens, but VR is already up and running successfully.
There may be different applications, but its still designed to make MS money, so you have to think about who is on board to develop for AR. If Microsoft doesnt see ...
At least the community steps in where the Devs faulter. I like that sense of community with my fellow gamers.
Morpheus has lots of support through games and apps and is already being demoed for the masses. I have my doubts whether the Hololens even makes it to market. It just looks so far behind VR tech that it may just be left behind.
Plus, I see far more uses for VR than AR right now. The Rift and the Vive both have external cameras, so Im thinking it wouldnt take much to turn to AR.
Get that man a Gorilla Suit!
Massive potential here. They may catch lightning in a bottle.
Hey, we survived the GTA V delays...
I went for the cheap and got it on Cdkeys with the DLC. I dont know their refund policy all that well. I havent used the key yet, so there may be hope.
Oh well, sounds like pressure is mounting on the Devs, so Im hoping for a patch soon.
I had a Moderator tell me that last year.
