Good on AMD. I heard Nvidia wont have the new Pascal until next year, so this gives AMD a nice lead. And hopefully force Nvidia to put out some more VRAM options and price cuts.
The Wii U has been out over 2 years. They have put out a few gems, but I wouldnt say the library is chalk full of hits. If people were going to buy a Wii U, they would have done it already. Not too many people are going to buy the console just for Star Fox. Zelda....maybe.
Gamers are left feeling that Nintendo jumped the shark: Mariokart and Super Mario 3D world were incredible, yet didnt make the sales mark they were hoping. So now, its getting harder and harder to justify buy...
Nintendo has gone from trailing in the race, to the pity-clap at the finish. Sony and Microsoft are innovating their respective consoles with VR/AR and a solid gaming library.
Nintendo is still left behind in the multiplayer scene and this gaming drought they left us with isn't helping keep the dust off my Wii U.
If they could only muster the same charm with 3DS as they do with the Wii U. Nintendo needs change, and they need it quick. They havent evolved since the ...
Oh crap, Im mildly retarded, I meant Elite:Dangerous with VR support.
You know its bad when you cant even keep track of your games anymore.....
Eve Online was incredible with the Rift. Christ, the hangar alone in VR was awe inspiring. It was about the size of a football stadium. And it felt like it too.
You know it's bad when NintendoEnthusiast has lost all enthusiasm. I'm sad they missed the opportunity to put a decent Animal Crossing on Wii U. I want this Amibo nonsense to stop already. I play Wii U casually as it is. Totally turned my excitement into disenchantment.
Oh I hear you absolutely. Im holding off on a 980ti due to AMD releasing the Fury GPU. I have absolutely no qualms about paying for this experience. Truth be told, I even want to budget for a portable rig with VR.
Luckey has said numerous times ( or in numerous articles) that gamers can have the Rift experience for $1500 all in. So that leaves a pretty small margin for the Rift to fit in.
You are 100% correct that enthusiasts wont think twice about upgrading. ...
I am very excited for the Rift launch. Not so much for the X1 streaming, but the Pc side. I see more and more incredible experiences on the Oculus Share site.
On the flip side of that, I dont know how they expect gamers to spend about $1500 all in when the recommended specs call for a 970.
Thing about Nintendo Directs is, unless you are already a huge fan, you probably wont tune in. E3 brings massive exposure and is seen as the biggest gaming event of the year by most mainstream media.
Nintendo cant keep staying the course. They need some new ideas to sell their system. 3DS games alone wont restore our faith in a Nintendo Console.
Nintendo is digging a hole at the moment, and when they release their next console, they will already be dogged by their poor ch...
Compared to the bombs dropped by Microsoft, Sony, and Pc, Nintendo looked even more dated.
Holy Christmas that is a sweet price point.
Cheers to PC Gamer for trying something new and bringing our beloved hobby to the forefront of gaming.
Actually the resolution is amazing because the pixels and viewing surface are so small. It can simulate a curved screen in any aspect and in roughly 2-3K.
That experience in the real world would cost you $100,000.
Well I imagine that you pay for the Square footage at E3. Since that space would cost more, I was alluding to the fact that those companies are that much more invested in being seen at E3.
Well to start off, VR is huge. Every form of media from movies, gaming, demos, museums, military, and scientists are all on board with VR. There are HMDs being made by Oculus, Steam, Samsung, Nvidia, Sony, Microsoft, all big companies with big faith in VR.
To answer your query about seeing around you, the Oculus and Vive as well as GearVR all have external cameras. This allows for flow-through viewing if you want to check your watch. However, this opens up the door to AR ...
@FullMetal
I havent pirated a game in over 2 years guy. Steam and all the other publisher sales pretty much make pirating obsolete.
Ill leave you to 2009.
Nintendo will have to pull out all the stops on this one. Ps4 Morpheus, Oculus, and X1 have a lot of real estate invested in this E3. And I cant help but think this may be Nintendo's last chance to wow the general masses. I hope they utilize this opportunity and leave the Nintendo Directs alone for a bit.
Take note Game Publishers,
If you make a great Pc game, we will support it.
His name was originally "Mike Bison". No lie. It was a parody of Mike Tyson. Mike Bison was originally Balrog, Balgrog was Vega, and Vega was M.Bison. They swapped M. Bison, Vega, and Balrog's names around for western release of Street Fighter 2.
My first thought was "Wow! What an incredible idea!" but now that Ive had time to mull it over, I just cant see the point of streaming X1 games to Pc.
More and more X1 games are making the trek to Pc, so the reasons for streaming are even less and less.
