50-50, especially coming from them, probably means it'll happen... sooner or later. Reason being, as soon as the thought enters into a company's head that making a profit from porting to a certain platform is a feasible possibility, the money-wanting regulator in the brain eventually takes over, and they'll succumb to the possibility of making some extra moo-lah.
Similar to how the devs of Bioshock were thinking about it, thinking about it, and thinking about it... and eventually...
Who are the "many people" who say it's downgraded? Mostly everyone I've seen has said the new gameplay looks amazing. To my eyes, it undoubtedly looks like an upgrade, visually.
When I click on the zoom icon, I'm only seeing 800x456 screens, which we already have seen yesterday. Where exactly are the full 720p screens?
7/10, translating to 70%, isn't a "bad" score, it's an average to mildly positive score. I hate it when people don't get the scales of game reviews, and just blindly expect everything to get 9+, or else it's TEH PHAILZ.
Nah, I don't pull that ghey Rickrolling BS.
No other FPS puts you in a 50 square km, fully explorable open world, complete with nonlinear level and story progression.
Also, check out this new PS3 Sixaxis demonstration footage, with motion vehicle control functionality shown:

I believe what Socomnick meant was that they are likely already selling each PS3 unit at below cost, and and further dropping the price could possibly affect their bottom line.
Where are the exact numbers/figures for the Japan hardware sales? All I see is a colored graph, with no precise labelling of units sold per platform.
Not particularly good news at all for your treasured favorite system, Omega4, that in a month where many projected the XB360 to perform their best thus far this year, they even get outsold in their home turf of America. Does not really bode well for the remainder of the year.
This is what happens when a company just doesn't give a sh** anymore. They're not concerned about quality assurance. They're not concerned about making any substantive improvements to the game as they churn out sequel year after year after year with basically nothing changed except rosters (and they can't even get THAT part right, as witnessed here).
This is what happens when there is absolutely ZERO COMPETITION. EA is a POS; we all know that. But they're even worse when there's ...
This game looks amazing, visually and conceptually, and those people who are complaining about one goddamn solitary game "ruining the squeaky-clean, untouched, innocent image" of the Wii, DON'T realize that they have a choice to either buy or NOT to buy the game. There's a rating/classification system there for a REASON, and if the parents do their job then kids would never get their hands on this "horrific atrocity."
Another videogame franchise and concept completely butchered by one of the worst people of all time. Say goodbye to jungles and exotic locales/landscapes, because THIS vision of Far Cry is all about teh axtion and teh exxxplosionz@!!!!11111
Also, consider that this is only one source as far as impressions on the visuals are concerned; and from a more PC-centric source at that. It's too early to jump the gun and be on alert about the console versions possibly looking poor. There are several other sites I've seen that have given their impressions about the console versions' visuals, and they say that they're fantastic, and the difference isn't that drastic at all as compared to the PC version, including previews and impressions fr...
That doesn't really change anything. Saying that you hate "Sony-only fans" is no better and no less incendiary than saying that you "hate all Xbox-only fans." It's a flame-baiting, blanket statement/insult to make.
If there's one thing that 360 owners are, it's that they're loyal to their system and its (types) of exclusive games, and supporting their favorite console. Most 360 exclusive titles seem to end up doing better than I would personally expect them to.
Not that PS3 owners aren't, to a greater or lesser extent; games such as MGS4 and Uncharted are obviously doing pretty well.
And how much more mature is it on your part to say that you "just hate all Sony fans?"
The following line is exactly what an editorial would sound like, if it were paid-off for by EA's PR and advertising department:
"That is no reason, however, to brand EA as a bunch of would-be media hacks sacrificing integrity and creativity for the sake of the bottom line."
Speculation? What speculation? We all already know the nature of the EA business model, and their philosphy/ethics of doing things. We already know how it screws up the industry and the quality of games for gamers(see: sports genre). We know it all too well. This isn't speculation to say that EA is a money-mongering, competition-eating POS.
Is that why Crytek themselves said that consoles can run the Cryengine 2 at High graphical settings? Just some food for thought.
