They don't have the right to inform consumers of faulty hardware? They're not going to take anyone's 360 away, they're only letting their viewers know the probable consequences of buying a 360 right now. Not only do they have a right to do this, they should do it.
Well it's not like they lied. I know more than I'd like to admit about the gaming industry and I'm afraid to purchase a 360 because of its reliability. I'd like to play Mass Effect too, but there is a completely legitimate reason to "stay away" from the 360 right now.
There's a big difference between educating yourself and brainwashing yourself. There are more reasons than I care to list that contribute to the fact that Blu-ray is absolutely murdering HD-DVD in sales and in support. It's been done to death, but Blu-ray's superiority is so obvious at this point that if you're going to deny it now you're just never going to accept reality. One only needs to look at your profile to see why you stand where you do.

I know the PS3 will be profitable in the long term. It's just a matter of getting costs down and software on the shelves. I also think the 360 will find its way into profits. They're expensive machines that need to get into homes so software can bring in the money. That's how losses happen, because to get them into homes the companies usually need to take a hit.
I don't understand why this is a bad thing to any of their readers. I mean, maybe Sony isn't happy with their PS3 sal...
Take a look at his other articles too. He seemed pretty excited about the prospect of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII on 360. Can't wait to see his opinion of the Final Fantasy franchise once the exclusivity rumors die down on that.
Yeah, after taking a look at that site I can definitely see where he's coming from.
"MGS4 IS COMING TO 360! PS3 SUCKS LOLZ!"
"FINAL FANTASY XIII INFO + MULTIPLATFORM!?!?!?"
*MGS4 confirmed PS3 exclusive, again*
"METAL GEAR SOLID IS OVERRATED."
Translation:
I'm an Xbox 360 owner who is pained by the fact that PS3 and its new format is proving to be successful. Therefore, I will pretend like the entire format war (of which I used to be a strong supporter of HD-DVD) doesn't matter.
"Our hardware sales are up, and if you don't consider 5 million blu-ray players (PS3) their hardware numbers are down. See, we're winning...sort of."
Damn, I think I actually want the Xbox 360 port rumors back. I'd rather hear that every other week than deal with this BS.
It looks amazing graphically but the gameplay hasn't convinced me totally. Looking forward to a demo.
Splinter Cell Conviction is a stealth based game, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a stealth based game. That's about where the comparisons end.
It's like trying to compare a nasty pea to an apple that was genetically engineered to be the best apple known to man.
I am definitely looking forward to this demo. Can't wait.
Sorry but this is retarded. 360 is the best hardware because...it has the best software? 360 is actually probably the worst hardware, considering how faulty it is. If you're trying to push the 360 as a console worth owning, fine...just don't do it under the guise of ranking hardware.
I was expecting some kind of realistic technical comparisons. Unfortunately, this is Gametrailers.
It's selling well but I actually think that most of the people buying now are just those who had an initial beef with the price. They're just widening their hardcore audience a lot more. People who said, "$599...screw that." are eating them up now, not people who legitimately cannot afford a $600 console...and that's a lot of people. The price needs to come down another $100 sooner than later IMO if they want to have a shot at reaching PS1/PS2 numbers. Though if they can maintain th...
The gameplay looks good, but I'd like it if they turned that little dot into something more visible to aim with.
Forza 2 and that pre-rendered PGR4 video looked pretty good compared to the real-life footage shown at first.
I'm really looking forward to this. Not only will the gameplay be lots of fun, I'm expecting the presentation to be ace.
Pretty sure Sony said that the new PSP itself is more efficient, not that the battery is more powerful.
I think they just have an odd sense of humor. They are British aren't they?
Honestly, I'm surprised this didn't start happening a long time ago. These hardware problems didn't pop up out of nowhere, they've been consistent since launch. That's what's really upsetting about the whole situation to me. To know that Microsoft had a free ride on all of these problems for so long, yet did nothing about it. This NEEDS to happen apparently, because Microsoft is not going to fix it on their own.
I can't understand why they weren't sued a year ago over these iss...
