This game had a bad smell about it ever since I heard of the price gouge. if games like Uncharted 2 can release with bigger budgets, lower sales (than MW2) and still please the fans then why do IW need more money?
You look at devs like Qgames supporting their fanbase releasing trophies retrospectively and releasing add-ons and dynamic themes getting ripped off by piracy and it makes you look at the IWs of the world with dismay.
If it weren't the fans of the game franchise that were pissed off then fair enough but those same fans built the game into what it is now with their dedication and hard earned money.
you deride the boycott because it's about a video game yet here you are on a video game site exercising your opinion about people you think are sad for having strong feelings about something.
Surely how other people spend their time and effort is their business. If you disagree with the boycott then don't buy into it.
Bit short sighted really. If devs are wary of ripping consumers off then they won't do it.
Buying the game weeks after release will have the same effect as a boycott.
Don't buy it on day one if you support the boycott.
His defence of accessory prices was ludicrous in that he stated reliabilty was a major reason.
360 = reliability?
Has to be something that hasn't had an N64 or Gamecube release. I totally don't know.
Maybe a Wii version of Homebound.
Your sum up was QTE.
People including me disagree with that. Keep up the good work but when you state an opinion don't be surprised to find people disagreeing with it.
Take the rough with the smooth.
But MGS games set and abide by their own standards. To say MGS is better or worse than another game is silly when nothing is anything like it.
By the standards of all games MGS4 has some of the best graphics, gameplay and music but it falls short in others. If you are a fan of MGS like I am then its shortfalls aren't really shortfalls because you like the game for what it is.
I don't want every game to try and be Indigo prophecy or fallout, let game makers make games the way they ...
One word review?
White-knuckle.
I think that this author mistakes QTEs with anything that requires a single button press. There are for instance no single button press instances during cut scenes.
A good example of where a QTE requires input in Uncharted 2 is when an enemy grabs hold of you and pressing sqaure puches them. A better example is when you have a pistol and an enemy grabs you, you have to aim and shoot to kill them or if not they will damage your h...
"Uncharted 2 killed the game industry"
I can think of several games I won't be buying now that I have completed Uncharted 2.
Got this game Thursday and have to say it's AAA all the way through. Graphics are the best this gen (consoles) and the gameplay is most the way though brilliant. It mixes it up on every level with a stealth section with no weapons, a level you run through where every turn you take a tank's crashing through the scenery and a train level where you run along the carriages trying to take down enemies and evade the chasing copter.
my favourite level is one which apes the scene in the ...
I'd rather see sucker punch do something else like another Sly game or perhaps a knew ip.
Killzone3 will really show what the PS3 can do when compared to uncharted 2. Massive improvements over UC2 (graphics) are unlikely but if they come then I think it would radically change the complexion of this particular console cycle.
Not cell shaded it's posterised.
Modern Warfare?
Stupid story really. Compare at least the first week of sales what's the point comparing apples to oranges?
Most innapropriate idea for an article ever. I could barely find Great RPGs to match the number fingers on one hand.
Final Fantasy 13 being exclusive in Japan is like CODMW2 being exclusive in the USA.
M$ wasted money on getting that particular game I think.
Man even if those games were the top ten games of a console come the end of it's lifetime you could consider it very good.
Never mind just 6 months of releases for one console.
