I'm all for better looking games but until I see something on a par with KZ2 I won't treat this news with any respect.
It's all well and good saying that the 360 can do "more" but where's the evidence? Are we to believe that the 360 is as powerful or more powerful than the PS3 but for years M$ have been concealing it?
Funny that this news comes out at a time when M$ drop the HD requirements on games to get better graphics.

If you've seen the E3 videos and screenshots there aren't any surprises but yeh the game looks awesome.
Kratos looks amazing his skin is very detailed and blood from enemies splashes over it realistically.
The environments look amazing but aren't on a par with Uncharted 2. The environments tend to be geared towards very dynamic lighting and are very dark and moody, take note Diablo 3.

They are a business and they are significantly in the lead with a cosole they make a profit on and struggle to restock shops with.
The Wii 2 can very easily with no great dent on Nintendo's coffers take a sizable fraction the 360's potential customers.

The freezing out of towns was terrible on my copy, I had to trade it in and clock it on a rental copy.
Seriously hampered my enjoyment of the game. In the end I just clocked it as quick as I could without doing extra missions because I couldn't be arsed.
Wish they had worked another year on it to make it better.
Blu-Ray in a casual games console would really hurt M$'s second phase strategy of targeting casual gamers.
Only thing is that it needs to be cheap. Slightly less than the PS3 would ensure mass adoption and would chip away at any prospects of M$ getting the casual gamer crowd unless they have a new console release due.
Is it bad news for PS3? Proabably not. It could act as a gateway console for getting people into HD and Blu-Ray films meaning that they would scale up...

Like most PS3 owners I think they should just get on with GTA 5 and forget about the DLC. There's a handful of people really eager to get it but if it's such a ball ache then just forget it and bring GTA 5 out sooner.
Fact is with regards the first game... it was as ambitious as GTA but without a GTA budget.
Shame really that the setting and themes of the first game are gone and all the flaws will be corrected in iterations that may or may not be more interesting to the player. A bit like how GTASA's feature list makes Vice City look old when most people would prefer VC with GTASA's features.
Will be good I'm sure, just wish the first was better that's all.
Sony are totaally dominant from a multimedia point of veiw so to use all their leverage is a smart move.
Is that the robot from kotor? I remember him being pretty awesome calling everyone meatbags and letting slip his murderous tendencies whilst never acting on them.

Sephiroth is F***ing awesome. He is so badass yet spends all his time going on about pointless sh*t like ancients and who his daddy might be.
He is joking around one minute then burning a village to the ground the next. Men, women and children, just because he can.
His masterplan, to wipe out all life on the planet so that he will absorb it all and become superhuman just beats any other villains ever for pure a**holery.
Whilst I agree that the dialogue in U2 is one of it's greatest achievements I wouldn't ever suggest that a perfect formula has been reached.
Not so long ago (1998) people thought that MGS had found the perfect formula with the obligatory cut scenes that have become much hated lately.
I believe there's room for many auters and styles of story telling in gaming just like there is in film.
As far as supporting Valve to make better PS3 games goes... I can't see it to be honest. Valve have no interest in PS3 and never have done.
Valve are very good at finding their own solutions to things and creating their own technology but as far as giving one platform (consoles) support and working to create parity of experience, I just don't don't see it happening.
This is the company that sticks by the Source engine despite it being out of date years ago.
If it happened I would think PS3 would have more chance of getting screwed over than before not less.
