Have to say as a UK resident this is pretty consistent with what I have seen.
The UK gaming media and console buyers have always preffered the 360 on the whole.
Can't really see it changing either.
But they have to decide on rules for the people that will finish a game not for people who will leave in the middle.
My sympathies for those who are unable to finish some games and get burned.
They have to make rules that assume you won't have a loss of connection or other problem.
Quite frankly playing a multiplayer match only to have one of the participants leave and ruin it is worth punishing a few innocents for.
At the end of the day we are only talking about virtual money.
I got it on the PSN.
I've had the demo for over a week, is it not yet released in the USA?
I'm with you on Media Molecule. Since the announcement of water, nothing has happened with regards water or new levels.
I have been putting off playing it or making new levels waiting for water to arrive but I'm still waiting.
Got the PSP version but my first love is LBP PS3 and I want more of that.
Bioshock 2.
Original was so... original, and fresh that a sequel could not hope to be as good with the same setting and characters.
If they can pull it out of the bag Bioshock 2 could be the best game next year, but I just don't think it'll happen.
In no particular order.
PixelJunkShooter
PixelJunkRPG
Heavy Rain
God of War 3
Last Guardian
Looking at my list I can see it's all Sony exclusive though that isn't deliberate just a reflection of what's got my interest.
Bioshock 2 could be better than anything but I really don;t see how. A completely different game by the same team with similar themes, like each different number Final fantasy would have...
As a means righting an injustice you get one bubble vote and one agree from me.
I never disagreed at the time by the way.
Very good point.
Give people no way to play their most anticipated game shortly before it comes out other than to legitimately buy another (brand new) console.
Fact is that M$'s machine isn't robust enough to support modding or altering the way it works, looks or runs. Coupled with a massive bill for the RROD they can't afford to allow simple, safe and perfectly honest modifications.
Counter this with Sony who openly encourage owners of PS3s to swap out the hard drive for a bigger one if the need takes them, not to mention the addition of compatibilty of linux with all PS3s and the implications that brings.
Much like the PS...
This from the company that wants $100 games?
Before MW2 half my PSN friends were playing Uncharted 2.
Since MW2 released all my friends are playing that.
I didn't bother but clearly it's gonna be a massive selling game.
Some people will still complain that the PS3 can only do everything.
Morrowind is sublime.
What the writer of this article is saying is that aside from the treasure hunting bits there isn't a story.
It's like he hasn't played the game at all.
SUMMARY
Nathan has got involved in a love triangle that forces him in every chapter to choose between his new flame and his old flame.
He meets people that help him along the way and save his life at times when you think it's all over.
At the end of the story Nathan chooses who he w...
@u got owned
Fair enough I did bring U2 into the thread. I wasn't trying to take away from what looks like a graphical jump for the new Halo game.
It's just that before today Halo Reach has been described as the game to put the momentum back into the 360 and a game to show what the 360 can do so from some peoples point of view comparisons to the best PS3 games were inevitable.
To clarify, yes Halo Reach does look a lot better and credit to the developers...
Have to admit it looks better than what I've come to expect from Halo this gen but seriously. Is this the game that will outshine U2 on the visuals? Highly doubtful. More pics please.
It's official.
The rest of Europe, Asia, Africa is another story of course.
Britain is basically turning what would be a 2/3 territory domination in sales (to PS3) into an even stevens console battle splitting Europe.
Have to say that despite a slow start this console generation is really hotting up and all console owners are guaranteed quality.
