MM already thought of magnets? Then why not release them? Are they operating a treat em mean keep em keen policy?
The fact that there's one font that is made up of different colours and doesn't show up well on many of the materials demonstrates that there's much they haven't done that they should have.
Which of my ideas are dumb?
That's the biggest propblem with LBP, the potential is undoubtable but the amount of input from MM is woefully inadequate. As ^^^^ put it they have released 2 substantial pieces of content since launch.
Although the sticker packs are welcome I wonder why certain easily addable things like better fonts or new switches aren't added.
Here's a list of easily addable things that are missing.
1. Ability to make any material look like any material.

1/10 of a second is good for M$ and will make Natal an almost guaranteed success. However this will not be good enough for GoW3 or Halo Reach.
Will it enhance the kind of games that people already enjoy on the 360? I think the answer is no, but it is almost certainly a versatile device and it'll be up to devs to find new kinds of hardcore rather than trying to adapt what already exists.
Frankly whatever Valve eventually do will be massively undermined by Newells comments on the matter.
Just as well that Valve don't NEED to develop for PS3 but when they do they are much less likely to be succesful at it.
And it would have to be something new. LFD2 or TF2 (with all the content) in a years time massively overdue and massively outdated won't be greeted with open arms.
Certainly the best graphics on the 360 I have seen. I hope it isn't an action game I quite like the idea of it being an investigation with suspense and plot twists.
It will definitely be 8 seeing as 7 and 9 were cartoonish. 10 and 12 didnt have world maps and In my opinion this made them less fun.
What has been missing from final fantasy in recent years are detailed towns and world maps. RPGs without towns are less interesting I think, why the move to make RPG style action games?
I just don't see how anyone could have ever argued that this wouldn't be the case, especially SE.
It may or may not be convenient to admit it, but the fact is that the PS3 version suffered because of the multiplatform release and the 360 version suffered from lack of storage space. Surprised? Nobody should be.
PGR5? No, can't see it myself.
Fable 3 I think will have a bigger audience because it's well established now but as far as consumers go I doubt it will be as well received as Fable 2 was. Just my personal opinion.
All in all I can't see M$ not dominating E3 given that the best comes out in Feb and March for PS3. Having said that though I think everyone will be unsurprised when big sequels are announced for the PS3 plus a few Arc, PSP, 3DTV reveals.
I think the main reason it's gonna be such a huge game is because it'll totally turn console ownership in EU countries towards PS3.
Where at the moment there's a slight bias in favour of the PS3 that will be amplified by GT5.
GOW3 will do the same in the USA but nowhere near to the same effect. A lot of people are prepared to sit GOW3 in the USA, probably because of the amount of quality adult games this generation.
I think it'a to do with the fact that most top quality games exceed the aesthaetic expectations of consumers whereas with the PS1, PS2, N64 nobody came close to flawless animation or flawless, graphics. Devs are now able to have top quality in lots of different areas much like film.
Damn you shadow flare you stole my quote before I thought of it.
"I heard edge have a similar integer system, but if they think its a 9.5 out of 10 game, they'll round it down to 6."
Classic.
9/10, I'll take that. Wiped any faint shadow of doubt as to whether I get it day one. I am very, very tempted to get the £100 version.
Any suggestion that PS3 owners will form mobs intent on skewering anyone brave enough to award less than 10 is wishful thinking. It only speaks of the quality of Uncharted 2 that it receives and will receive higher review scores than any other PS3 exclusive.
I'm guessing an 8 or 7 from Edge.
No it doesn't. No ammo on Fallout3 has weight.
They should make the original (Fallout3) actually playable.
My girlfriend has clocked it and two of the expansions but the crashes and freezes are so frequent that I think she will lose patience soon.
It averages one crash every 40 or so minutes.
The logic of your post would suggest that reviews ought to nearly always be above or below the MCA as opposed to being dead on it.
The reality with Edge is that they tend to be slightly below the MCA on one console and significantly below the MCA on another console, hence bias.
There's 2 sides to this from the journalists point of view.
1. magazines can be influenced to improve review scores (apparently) or to abide by rules they disagree with. If this is true then perhaps magazines friendly to one publisher can be unfriendly to another publisher.
2. Journalists have to suffer for their craft breaking embargos and not being afraid to tell the truth about a game. If this is true then why would the behaviour of publishers even matter? Wouldn'...
I loved it, nothing to defend. Day one purchase for me. Kitchen fight was awesome.
600mb to go. I'm well excited.
A higher score means a better game. If they don't stand by it then why give the score they did.
They have their opinion and people have a right to disagree with it.
Not too sure they'd ever make an exclusive for any Sony console but it's good to hear sensible words from Valve and I think it will do them some good if they ever take the plunge on PS3.
Episode 3? I hope so.
