Why are so many people crying about this? It hasn't affected trade in prices thus far and only affects those who buy preowned titles. If it bothers you that much then buy it new.
If you can't afford the price on release day then buy it new when it gets discounted a few months later.

Blu ray movies, high quality games, PSN access etc are all features of the console. They come in the price tag that you pay when you purchase a PS3, Vita or PSP. There is no shakey logic involved. It's a fact.
The only reason it's touted as free is for the pissing matches that happen daily...
I can go make an xbox live account on a PC. Doesn't make it free though. I'd have to buy an Xbox to get the basic service plus pay a monthly subscription to get the full one.
Also just because you can create the account means nothing. You still can't access the service until you buy the Hardware that Sony stipulate therefore it is not free.

My logic isn't stupid. I never once said that PSN is like Xbox live in terms of cost. So...
Firstly, PSN isn't a free service. You have to purchase a PS3, PSP or Vita to access the service. It is significantly cheaper than Xbox Live but it is not free at all.
Secondly, you are a customer because you purchased the hardware which has access to said service and you also will have no access to the store which means no more DLC etc.

That's exactly my point. You don't have access to the service unless you buy something. Therefore...
For me the only DLC that has been worth every penny are Red Dead Undead Nightmare & Episodes from Liberty City. They offered true value for money.
All these shooters i feel overcharge for map packs. Same with Capcom and their overpriced costume and character DLCs.
THQ are 90% of the time great with their DLC. With Smackdown & Saints Row 2, i've never felt ripped off by their prices either.
How do they scam you? You walk in, pick up a game, pay for it, go home and play they the game they sold you. How is that a scam? Lol!
I'll never understand those who complain about pre-order bonuses. If you want the extra content on release then preorder the damn game. If you don't have a store near you then get it online.
I bet there will be an inflated price plus DRM attached where you will be only able to play them when signed into a PSN or Live account.
Unless they are really cheap then i'll stick to my Wii copy of Resi 4. Perhaps it'll look better on WiiU too.
They're doing it for other reasons. Where the hell they thought they could charge £35 ($50) for these two old games on disc i'll never know. I paid a maximum of £20 ($40) for the other HD collections that i own.
Now they're digital only, they'll be lucky to get £7.99 per game out of me. Once again Capcom prove how out of touch they are!

The only thing that brings a tear to my eye is when mufasa dies and simba tries to wake him up in the lion king. Nothing in movies or games has made me cry like that.
I've not had a single issue in game etc. until it was opened up to EU & US account holders. The only thing that was an issue for me was it would reset my console when i tried to quit & go back to the xmb.
I've had that on other games before. The way i get around it is when the patch screen shows, wait 30 seconds before accepting it. This method has never failed me yet.
Their statement is quite insulting to us gamers. I'm sick of celebs thinking if they say "we love games, they're the future" that gamers will instantly swallow their shovelware shit of a game.
