There is no chance that the WiiU will have a graphics card that powerful. The cost of the console would be sky high.
Besides a pre-rendered tech demo does not equal gameplay graphics.

Not sure I agree with your definition of Milking.
Call of Duty is an example of milking. Mario games aren't.
Mario as a character is being milked, but the games aren't. Those olympic games etc aren't true Mario Titles. Mario Galaxy, Sunshine, 64 etc and Mario Bros are the proper Mario games and suprising, there has not been that many for a 25 year old franchise.
I think it's time NSMB was shelved and that we just get the usual every 2-3 year 3D Mario and Mario Kart titles.
Then use Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zelda, Metroid, Pikimin, StarFox Etc to fill in the gaps between Mario titles.
I would love to see a new Super Mario World though.

Exactly, that's my point. If the 720/PS4 are more powerful by a huge margin and the WiiU is only at PS3/360 levels then we will know for sure.
At this point in time, it's just too early to tell. Especially since Nintendo have not even released the Specs yet.
Resistance & Gears and Uncharted are the only first year games on you list. They all looked great and still do. The problem is, you are comparing exclusives to multiplatform games. Games that recieved full dev cycles to a quick port.
Basically, there is no comparison. Even ZombiU cannot be compared as that too only had a 12 to 18 month development cycle.
In a years time, we will be able to compare the platforms more evenly.

Another point to remember is that the WiiU Version has not had the same development time that the PC/PS3/360 versions had.
We cannot compare early multiplatform games and then make statements as to WiiU's power. If anything, I would say Aliens will be the one to compare as that will have had much more development time compared to Mass Effect 3 & Batman.

These were great on Wii. I'm tempted to buy them on PS3 to replay them in HD.
It's happened here in the UK too. HMV are only offering £90 cash or £125 trade, whereas a few weeks ago it was £140 cash or £160 trade.
If they do cut the price, i can see them dropping to around £150 - £170 (currently between £200 to £220) here in the UK. Price drop = sales!
Maybe though, this could just be Sony reducing prices on those currently available at retailers before releasing the Console + Game + Memory c...

As fantastic as they all look, there are better looking games on PC.
The N64 was more powerful than the PS1 and the Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2.
Sony produces one powerhouse of a console and suddenly they always had more powerful hardware. Nintendo releases one weaker console (that we know of this far) and suddenly they always produced weak hardware.
