I swear too many people look at movies / games and walk away with these ridiculous ideas that are not there and were never even thought of inside a Director's mind.

One of the best HD classics released. This, Metal Gear and both God of War collections are must buys. They look alot better than upscaling the PS2 games on the original PS3 Consoles.
Nintendo does have to market the WiiU correctly so that previous Wii owners understand that the WiiU is a new console. They caused confusion with the 3DS name and personally I think the WiiU should have been named Wii 2. It's simple and the casuals would understand just what it is.
Saying that however, once they get passed that hurdle, then the sales will come. Mario will pull in audiences from both the Hardcore and Casual demographics. The franchise just has that appeal ...

Nintendo know what tech is readily available at the correct prices just by consulting with CPU and GPU manufacturers. Don't be ridiculous assuming they don't. Honestly, I don't disagree with anything said. Everyone (including Nintendo) know that PS4/720 will be more powerful. Like you said it's a given. My point was that we really aren't talking about a generational leap in power like some on here would have you believe.
The WiiU will get all the games that the 720/PS4 will get (except exclusives of course). It won't be left behind like the Wii. They may look better on PS4/720 but WiiU will...

Being easier to program for does not mean that the games with look better on launch. If Nintendo allowed the full power to be unleashed on launch then the console would die quicker than the Wii did. Developers also still have to learn how to make the most of development with new hardware. It's not as simple as you make it out to be.
