@Kiwi66
Actually I continue to think that we won't know it's actual size until it's released. Microsoft falsified the size of the xbox one to make it smaller in early pictures than it turned out to be when it released. My opinion hasn't changed, I am just using the information that others have provided.
But if you want to bring that up, yes, it'll probably be bigger than any of these estimates.
What kind of a shelf a bookshelf? Because it's not going to fit on a shelf on most entertainment centers under a tv that's for sure.
Upright it's as tall as any upright console and on it's side it's far taller than any other console laid flat. It's not just about how much space it takes up it's also about how it fits in typical usage situation, it's not a good shape. And with the top open like that dust is going to fall into it.
...
The games will be made with unlocked FPS and dynamic resolutions. PS5 will just play the games natively with higher FPS and 4k plus whatever post processing PS5 BC provides natively.
Ah yes, much like Microsoft who hasn't had an exclusive in 5 years and won't ever have an exclusive ever again.
We can classify PC how ever you want bro dude.

Well at least the work that went into Scalebound didn't get wasted. Looks like it ended up on PlayStation where it always belonged, with fans that will actually support it.
Ah yes, great deflection back to Sony as expected of course, it seems that's the only reply I ever hear.
The difference here is Naughty Dog and nearly every studio Sony has bought was making games for Sony almost exclusively. Microsoft on the other hand bought truly third party studios that were already making games for their console just to keep them off PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.
The point is, If you can count you can figure out which PlayStation is which, it's not a bunch of arbitrary letter codes some of which are even being reused.
Yea Walmart has special training courses for their employees about gaming consoles on a daily basis... lol
Seriously... outside of Gamestop retail employees that aren't actual gamers themselves aren't going to know the difference between an xbox one x and an xbox series x. And what about people who do their shopping online... you think grandma doing xmas shopping on-line is going to know the difference?
Most PSVR games only use one hand and the ones that need to use both hands use the twin sticks as a replacement.
@NecrumOddBoy
That's probably how PSVR 2 will work, but PS5 will have compatibility for PSVR 1 i'm sure.
@xenz
There is virtue to hand tracking, but PSVR has separated itself from other VR by being more user friendly. For example most games on PSVR are best played ...
"Looks like Sony will continue to want to try and lock down exclusive deals with third party. Shame but they know where their bread and butter is. "
That's a shame huh? Well how do you feel about Microsoft buying whole third party studios just to keep games of PlayStation and Nintendo consoles? Certainly you must really be outraged about that, right?
I mean, you own both consoles so that means your not biase...
They have had GOTY contenders and winners every year and 2020 is going to be the same. That's why people trust that Sony will have good games next gen too.
It's pretty bad, but I 'm certain Microsoft could have done worse.
Naming is just another area where PlayStation has them beat. Everyone knows what a PlayStation 5 is and if I say PlayStation 6 or PlayStation 7 you know exactly what product and what order they come in even if they're decades in the future.
Wireless doesn't mean it has to be more expensive. It's just a wireless receiver. And as far as controllers go, you don't need move, you can use a regular PS4 controller. I'm sure any future VR will work with the base console controller. They may offer optional controllers like move or some of the other patents we have seen but I highly doubt that will be a requirement.
Xbox hater... oh no, trust me I can't wait to read your xbox poetry.... Please tell me how your game console reinforces your sense of masculinity in iambic pentameter.

No.

Again, spot on.
As if Sony doesn't have unannounced PS5 games.... This whole gen for them has been about games, award winning games, they aren't going to forget that.
As the last game features Nathan and Sam his brother I'm sure the next game will be Nathan and Cassie his daughter.
I imagine Nathan and Elena go missing and Cassie has to find clues to rescue her parents with tons of cameos from past Uncharted games.
I look forward to it.
This exactly.

Looks awesome.
Which year?
