loll
It's Phil Spencer's twitter account, not a friggin official statement by Microsoft.
Seriously, the guy represents MS sure but he's a person himself, and ironically much less of a fanboy than most people who read his tweets. He didn't gush over anything, read the convo, he's just replying to someone regarding a question they asked.
No matter what positive thing he says in cases like these, Sony fanboys will make fun it, MS fanboys will get ...
I never really cared about the frame rate too much. My hype for this game is unaffected, it looks great from the little we've seen.
But this 30 fps is a real slap in the face to all the ps4 fanboys who have been raving about the XB1 all this time.
Forza 5 a launch title has already achieved 1080p, 60fps, and the Order, coming a year later, has 1080p, 30fps. This should tell all the fanboys from which ever side that everything they argue over is BS.
They have told retailers to not call the next halo game halo 5, they have repeatedly referred to it as the next halo game. The E3 trailer was definitely Halo 5 but at the end it said your halo journey begins in 2014 instead just saying halo 5 comes in 2014.
This pretty much confirms the leaks that halo 2 anniversary is coming this year and halo 5 next year. They would never release halo 5 in the same season as halo 2 anniversary, there's just no way. It's depressing b...
You can try and twist it but it's still him stepping up.
SONY wouldn't have brought that competition if the XBOX 360 wasn't outselling it so much initially.
See anyone can do that^
lol this is basically a fanboy buttfest.
Exactly, there was no announcement other than that it's going to be in development. The actual game seems so far away that no one wants to waste their energy hyping it up, specially since Judgement was just released last year. By next E3 people will miss is a lot more than they do now.
I've noticed this manyy times, once the game actually gets revealed with Unreal engine 4 the hype will go through the roof.
Some of the hate or dislike makes sense, but I find some of it to be total ignorant BS. The halo explanation for example, the guy says he 'had some fun' halo 2 and 3 play split screen multiplayer and he found the single player to be abysmal.
His whole statement screams ignorance, it's pretty clear he was never invested in the game and didn't experience it the way actual fans have. And he decided to formulate an opinion based on his limited exposure to the exp...
Yess give me more Halo! Gaming for me will not be the same if halo isn't there. There is a difference between milking and releasing sequels in appropriate time. Halo 3 was released in 2007, Halo Reach in 2010, Halo 4 in 2012. Those were the only 3 real halo games, everything else was optional for fans to purchase.
That's the dumbest thing ever. It's one thing to leave a cliff hanger ending to force a sequel and another thing to end off with the possibility of narrative enhancement.
This author assumes gamers automatically want sequels if the ending is left open ended, which is stupid assumption. Halo 3 ended perfectly, it closed the trilogy but left the story in tact, which is more realistic than the story just coming to a halt at the end of the game. The most annoying thing is...
People need to relax. Not all great exclusives need to be first party.
Gears has been a third party exclusive all generation long and now it's first party. It was never released on another platform (other than PC for first gears) which effectively made it just like first party, and now it's guaranteed first party.
This means that MS will invest in third party as effectively as first party, and will make sure any successful third party franchises remai...
Actually I think the rumour is that they're working on another halo game besides the next halo.
Which is great news for halo fans like me, but I'd rather see another ip since we're getting the regular halo games anyway. Don't want too much halo if the quality is compromised.
wait Forza 5 has 1080p/60fps lol, so it's already proven then?
That would be the stupidest thing ever. Gears revolutionized TPS games and the biggest advantage it has is that it's still the most solid and smoothest third person shooter anywhere (I'm talking strictly gameplay), deviating from that would be a disaster.
They could incorporate strategy elements into it that'll be great, but please don't screw up the gameplay.
I think more importantly it was a good move because Gears would have died. Epic has already made 4 installments, they didn't want to work on it anymore, so it was more likely that it wouldn't come to any platform than it coming to PS4.
This made sure the franchise prospers and I'm so glad, with unreal 4 it's going to be insane.
Well you can wait a year and save up. It's not coming out anytime soon
I think we all know Judgement was quick cash in MS quickly commissioned because they thought Gears was gonna die. It had a much smaller budget, a subsidiary studio, and it was released within 1.5 years of gears 3.
Even then I think it was an exhilarating game for what it was. The voice acting and writing was much better and the combat was visceral.
But there is no way MS is gonna put that little attention on the next gears that's supposed to be built by a...
What the hell are you talking about. The next Epic game was gonna be multiplatform regardless, since it's not first party.
This was a great decision by MS because they didn't own Gears IP and Epic wasn't going to be working on it anymore, so it would've died.
This means we'll get whatever awesome game Epic releases next and still get our Gears game. Just like how we'll get Destiny from Bungie and still get our Halo. Omg this is exciti...
^what's wrong with that, its a feature that could easily have been implemented without much resources, specially since its from the developers of Cod which has always had it.
Sure it's not that big of a deal that it should affect the price or anything. But from what I see people are just using this as an opportunity to express their disappointment in the removal of split-screen in general for most games.
In now way is this a bad thing, if people don&...
"looks decidedly average"
That's the best thing, it doesn't rely on unnecessary explosive trailers and cinematic footage to show itself off. It looks average but looks don't do it any justice. If you're a big halo fan, and understand what they're trying to achieve here the hype will only come then.
I don't blame you though, try it when it comes out and you'll see what i mean (assuming it's not a complete failure whic...
