Well if they make the halo series only viewable on xbox, it's clear mostly halo fans and gamers who already own an xbox will watch it, and those people will be buying halo games regardless. There's not much benefit in that.
Think of the tv show as an advertisement for the franchise and ultimately for the halo games and xbox. If it's on regular network and it's good, it'll attract more outside audience towards halo and xbox, well that seems like the plan. ...

I really like the resistance games, and resistance 3 was pretty underrated to me. So i'm excited for this game!

These are the only real halo games, and by real I mean part of the same string started by Halo 1. Even ODST is negligible.
Everything else may be halo but they're all departures from what halo is. Sure you can count them but they're just expansions of the franchise in different areas, which is fine to me if that's what annual halos mean.

But I reallyy doubt it's coming this year. 343 is still posting jobs for the game, there's no way they'd be hiring a senior multiplayer designer noww if the game was out this year. Plus i don't see it being developed just 2 years after halo 4 on a new system.

Yea there's no way they're setting it in WW1. The whole dynamics of what makes Cod popular are based on modern war. There are a lot of limitations technology-wise in old wars, that would be really hard to translate into the usual Cod game play.
They just need to change it up entirely, I haven't given a single crap about Cod since MW2, which is sad since Cod4 is one of my favourite games of last gen.
Yea I'm not a huge fan of games that are pretty much like interactive movies. Set pieces are great, appropriately places cinematics are great, but I don't want to be doing quicktime events at every corner, or having a meter of space to move in while everything around me is blowing up.
