Well I have no problems with your problems, and pretty much agree with what you're saying. The perks are very unnecessary and other than a few basic ones, i rarely feel any effect they have in terms of improving the gameplay. So in that sense yes 343 took a misstep and tried to make it easier to get into, which backfired.

Well that doesn't mean the game is bad. You could do that in classic slayer. The problem you had can easily be fixed with more classic playlists, which i understand they don't have.
But I could bring up similar complaints about halo 3. I absolutely love sniping, and there were only a couple of places you could find the sniper, the person who spawned closest to it always got it and I spent more time waiting for the sniper to respawn than actually playing properly. Hal...

Yea i've played both and gears story is way better. The dialogue is sometimes dudebro cheesy by the story is awesome.
Killzone is a great game on its own though, let's not try to compare them and be flamebait.
I'm having a blast with halo 4. So many excuses people have about it being not like halo 2/3 or too much like Cod.
I feel it's more of people missing those nostalgic moments from the older halos and some part of their brain wants those experiences back, which just can't happen unless you go back in time. So people think taking the gameplay back in time will fix it but in reality those moments can never really be recreated the same way. That's how i feel myself...
The power of halo may just make me purchase my first arcade game. I don't know why i love halo so much.........wait yes i do.
Quake wasn't even part of this last gen. I'm not sure how good Quake 4 was but I don't think it was nearly as good as the originals.
Hopefully they resurrect it but arena shooters are practically dead. Only halo remains now and that's a mix of arena and modern style gameplay, which is perfect for me.
I don't think Titanfall is going to be anything like Quake, that's quite a random connection.

Firstly due to the lack of good announcements. The games that were announced just weren't presented well. A lot of the trailers weren't theatrical and just like your usual videos that get released on the internet, not very well put together.

I played Skyrim all the way through and i barely had any problems with it. The insane amount of content, things to do, places to go, in a seamless open world was worth having a couple of little bugs, which would be inevitable with a game like that if you had common sense.

I'm so excited, bungie is making Destiny for me while 343 is making halo 5 for me. It's such a win win I can't even explain.
Don't know about the gameplay as I haven't played it, but graphics easily look like the best graphics I've seen so far.
I hope the sequel will take it to another level with gameplay variety, as that appears to be the only gripe people have mostly.

I'm surprised there still hasn't been a legit FPS game for Wii-U utilizing this. This is was the first thing that came to my head when I first saw the Wii-U.
i find it interesting, playing with friends in the living room i can make the difference of a win or loss. But it should only happen during heated moments, like if there's a foul near the end of the quarter and I don't agree with it i swear.
