How would people know that it wouldn't be there if they never announced that it wouldn't? Now it has been announced and you hear people voicing their want for it.

The way i see it, the less they sell the more it encourages them to invest in first party to get people to buy more.
If they sold too well, MS would follow the same xbox 360 model and start investing elsewhere instead of first party exclusives.
So in the end it's a good thing.

Well you're right about multiplats not saving Wii-U. But it does need multiplats to stay relevant to a lot of gamers. Inferiority is better than not having the games at all. I wouldn't buy a Wii-U for just mario and zelda, and if I did then I'd want to play all the multiplats that xbox and playstation share.

That's just dumb. Why would you want to withhold yourself from experiencing a next-gen gears simply because you think the story is finished? If you're not a fan then you shouldn't be commenting anyway, if you are a fan then I'm disappointed.
If it's small budget game like judgement then no i wouldn't want that either. But a full fledged new trilogy like halo 4 would be beyond Epic, no pun intended.

Agree with all of that. Gears really is revolutionary, it did to 3rd person shooters what Halo and Call of duty 4 did to First person shooters.

I don't like this attitude. Only bring it to different formats if it does something good for the franchise.
