lol as an "apology". They've been giving away Gamepass for practically free for 2 years. They made an unbelievably stupid policy announcement, listened to the backlash and reversed it. The same backlash should be directed to any company making stupid policies. They are not your next door neighbours, they're not going to apologize like they hurt your cat or something. The reversal policy and verbal apology WAS an apology.
lol PSVR is pretty much a separate console. It's almost as much a PS5 itself. It doesn't affect this comparison in any way.

People need to understand that it is not just a single player franchise, the multiplayer component is arguably even bigger and is still the king of competitive TPS multiplayer gameplay. When you have a component that people play regularly and the community is adverse to the smallest changes you can't just reboot an entire franchise. What a horrendous review. It's a freaking $20 DLC that is free with Gamepass and was even advertised, so it had NO expectations. It looks gorgeous, gives you new bosses to fight, new locations to play in, has 3 player co-op where each player has their own ability with upgrades. It's a blast to play with a couple of friends, and has a lot of replayability. They didn't even need to give us this since no one asked for it, it's literally a bonus. I never understand these B.S. self...

I don't think there is any reason so assume it would be in first person. CDPR went from third person to first, developers diversify all the time.
With regards to exclusivity, it will be interesting to see. I doubt Disney would be THAT involved in decision making process over exclusivity. However, considering that MS hasn't even officially taken over yet, it's possible that Bethesda made the deal with Disney last year, in which case exclusivity is unlikely.
Wow this is a surprise! Machine games makes some great titles. Wolfenstein was an amazing single player experience so I have a lot of faith in them.
It's also an old ass engine that they used for Destiny 1 cross gen with PS3/360, which was already just an upgraded Halo engine from what I recall.
This game should have been 60fps on One X and PS4 Pro, no excuse when other games have already done it for a while.
It's the same on PS5 and Series X lol, and it's not even an amazing looking game.

Thank god they delayed Infinite! It was clear that the game was unfinished and hopefully the extra year makes it look much better. Perks of investing in both consoles, I never run of out amazing games to play.
To be fair the author didn't say it looks the "most next gen", he simply said "Hivebusters is one of the best-looking games I’ve played on either one of my new consoles". It doesn't have ray tracing and neither does Demon Souls, but it does look gorgeous and manages to do it all smoothly with 3 player co-op, which is an overlooked feature. I can't tell if you have played Hivebusters or just regular Gears 5 but Hivebusters looks better than the normal Gears 5 c...
My point was that it looks comparable to "next gen" that are out right now. A full game like that could qualify as a launch title, the same way Miles Morales does. Sony advertised the Miles Morales expansion as a PS5 game, which was smart. MS randomly dropped Hivebusters for free on GP and barely advertised it, they should have done the same as Sony.
Also Hivebusters looks better than the standard Gears 5 campaign.

Every time there's a new season or expansion or whatever the light requirements and conditions change.
