It's like minecraft! But with a completely different atmosphere lol
So glad I'll get to enjoy one of my favorite games (mine craft) and boundless on PS4!

It's absolutely massive! They're going all out for this, and then for the Playstation Experience I can only imagine how huge that will be.

@TheGreatGamer

For Halo 5, leading in software is a possibility. But I don't see that many people purchasing an Xbox within 5 days after launch to make a dent compared to the Uncharted Bundle that's been out all month. But I guess the Halo 5 bundle preorder could help for October.

November..COD (I dislike COD so much incase anyone couldn't tell...tried the beta didn't like it) and Battlefront marketing should pretty much seal the deal for PS4 ...

October:
Uncharted Collection pretty much seals the deal for PS4 to take October World and NPD. Halo is releasing too late to make a huge dent in sales.

November:
Third Party games like Fallout, Battlefront, and Call of Duty will take the top places come November. I expect both Fallout and Call of Duty (unfortunately) to lead sales in software and push each of the consoles they support in advertising. So I think a toss up there, but the ridiculous COD communit...

It's a toss up to a certain degree. But at the same time, the timing of releases (exclusives and third party) plays a huge part in everything.

There's a difference though.

If they announce games and the game takes hits visually during its time of development, that when no one wants to have anything to do with it and lose interest. Like The Division, it was my absolute reason for jumping in so early into this new gen. And now I see it as a potential flop. Only because of the hate destiny gets and I know it's whole game is set on that same concept.

Games like NMS tease you little by little and...

How is it a contradiction? I've never one spoken about it before this and no one else speaks for me.

Go troll somewhere else please.

So I guess that's the reason why the 2DS and the 3DS were so unsuccessful and had no content or consumer support when sold alongside each other. Or why the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s are so unsuccessful too./s

Having one console at high settings that are already above the competition, and another more expensive console that is comparable to a well outfitted PC that can play 4K UHD content. All while being able to play the same game/content at different graphical settings depe...

"And I wouldn't personally call Battlefront a 'technically ambitious' game"

How could you not? Name me any other FPS or TPS that has the same level of texture detail put into the environment and gameplay. Nothing comes close to it because the devs pretty much put their heart and soul into solely those aspects.

And before everyone starts rambling about content, just realize that this article is about graphical fidelity...not content. No O...

Haha that was my first though on it when I read the article. People buy it! So Sony might be the first to usher in this new era without alienating the early adopters. No extra features, only graphical enhancements.

People do this with PCs all the time. I can see all consoles doing it next time around. Kind of like how there's "High" and "Ultra" settings. People could pay for what they want like a - PS5 and a PS5 Ultra.

Little by little the console market will become like PCs to meet a wider range of prices and settings. They won't disappear (unless they become more of a service if they're not profitable) they'll simply adapt.

I agree to a degree with you on that. A smart consumer would choose the best option instead of paying more for less.

And a majority of Xbox's first party uses "dynamic resolution" with minimalistic textures to reach 60fps..neither is hitting it out of the ball park with that?

You hit the nail right on the head @DigitalRaptor! It's just them moving goal posts. But honestly, I guess you can't expect for them to talk about how their closest competitor is a console that came out a year ahead of them.

I except them to all of a sudden have a change of heart on this if they take NPD for November. (I don't see them taking October)

Off Topic:
By the way man, glad to see you got some bubbles back. It's a tough game ...

Size doesn't always equal content. Just because a game has 60 gigs doesn't mean it has 3 times as much content.

And believe me, it being half the size (data wise) as other shooters coming won't mean anything. It's still going to be top November and December (because of the movie) when it comes to First Person Shooters. There's no competition to anything Star Wars related.

You should try it on PS4 or for sure on PC. It looks a lot better!

Content wise, I was surprised by home much this game offered. It can't get here any quicker! Very much looking forward to this.
