@PhearR3d
You're comparing not putting multiplayer in a remastered collection vs not putting co-op in a new game that supposed to be the front runner for Xbox this holiday.
One is because they don't want to cut out old fans who still use the servers, while the other is done to prevent any more hits to visual fidelity. Very and completely different situations that you nor @WowSoChill seem to understand. Along with the difference between "they'...
@NewMonday
"A big split-screen game is something the PS4 lacks in its exclusives."
You're comment was great till that point man. Stay on topic next time.
What does Uncharted have to do with this?
They didn't remove anything? They simply didn't add it. They didn't add multiplayer because they didn't want to cut servers that people still play on the PS3. It has nothing to do with 343 choosing no local co-op to prevent the game running at 720p 60fps.
Exactly. There have been plenty of games over the years that offered a clear downgrade in performance to accommodate those who wanted split screen.And those people were satisfied because of the fact they got split screen, and cared less about the visual aspect.
Random but perfect example...I remember Splinter Cell Double Agent looking like paper figures in co-op, but I didn't care because I got to experience the game as a spy with my brother at my side.
...
I am a huge indie gamer. So while the vast majority of these games are TBA, Cuphead is at the very top on my list from all the ones listed! the first time I saw it, it blew me away.
Especially the fact that no one ever thought about making a game with that old 1930s cartoon art style. It's pure genius really. I can see these devs making cartoon episode style DLC/Sequals in the future for it. These guys are gonna make it big time in the future!
It's open to everyone! No pre-order or beta code needed!
It couldn't get here any sooner!
I'd say I'm excited the most for the 40 player walker assault and drop zone (simply because it sounds the most intense). While it is a differently made Battlefront, I'm ready for the nostalgia to kick in hard when hearing all of the sounds and visuals of the Star Wars universe.
**This comment is in regards to Split-Screen in general, not Halo**
"I love the nostalgia of the couch co-op of what Halo did in the past, but I also know in the realities of the day with people's busy lives, it's not as easy to get everybody in the same physical place. It's one of the advantages that Xbox Live obviously offers."
.
There are so many games now that do away with couch co-op because of this same statement. I think t...
Yup! :D
If we're talking about photorealism, the bar was set earlier this year by The Order and is nowhere close to being touched.
Chill out man lol
All he said was that this month doesnt bode well for him since he has those games. That's a genuine reason to be slightly disappointed. Its happened to all of us at least once.
Another multiplat with these resolutions on their respective consoles? I guess this trend is here to stay this gen.
How is intermittent the norm?
Go check your PS4, the only thing that is down for MAINTENANCE is the PSN store, games and everything else are working just fine.
People are moving goal posts one topic at a time I guess lol
It's shrouded in mystery because the whole game is focused on shooting everything rather than completely focusing on telling a story.
No way it can stack up to Star Wars. That's just too big of a franchise for him to even comprehend. The reason Star Wars has held on for so long is because the lore is immense and is told exceptionally well. Going around a game shooting everything they throw at you while telling any story will never compare to just focusing on telling ...
Glad to see Fallout and Battlefront up there contending with COD.
Definitely my own most anticipated games for the remaining portion of this year!
@The_Infected
You too? -_-
Once again, this article is talking about whether it CAN. Not whether it should, wants to, or needs to.
@sinspirit
That's what I said?
Is my first sentence really that hard to comprehend?
@The_Infected
"It want catch up to PS4 though and It doesn't need to. They're doing fine, have great 1st party games coming and NXOE, etc. You don't have to catch up to be a great console."
The article talks about whether or not the Xbox has a chance, not whether it needs or shouldn't need to catch up. By your logic the Wii U is also an amazing console (I own one, it is!). Yet so many people on this site who have an Xbox feel the need t...
"We've seen a lot of remastered games hitting consoles over the last couple of years. But the Nathan Drake Collection might just be the single best remaster we've played to date."
Dang! I've never heard Digital Foundry say that about any other remaster before this. Talk about top notch quality. Plenty of new PS4 gamers will be in for a treat with this coming out so soon!
