Phil is honestly the only one with sense and honesty. Aaron Greenberg and Major Nelson have ignored all of this, but will probably bring up useless "total gaming hours" stats by the end of the month.
My favorite portion of Spencer's tweets is one that I've been trying to get Xbox Fanboys to understand since...well forever...

Good article. It really gives a good breakdown of the current state of Xbox's 3 remaining big name exclusives. None are close to where Scalebound is, but I don't see them holding through when the competition has so much coming.
You have Switch and all of Nintendo's top exclusives coming: Zelda, Mario, Pokémon, Splatoon, and their unconfirmed games that we'll get info on Friday for.
And then you have Sony coming with another top lineup...
What other projects? Their handling of this specific "project" seems to be what has led to this outcome. Everything else they have coming out is just about at a AA level.
I respectfully disagree. The game provided more gameplay enjoyment and deeper story than 99% of the games released in 2016.
I don't see how the puzzles were so poor when it takes 20+ hours to complete the game. Sounds like hard and well thought out puzzles (on top of story) to me.
But it's nothing new. This has been the case for more than just this year for MS. Variety year over year has been dismal at best with major exclusives being centered on (gears, forza, halo).
It's a short term gain, long term loss when MS does stuff like this. Investors and gamers buy into the hype of new games announced...then the rug is pulled from underneath after a while and replaced with different hype (in this case, Scorpio). It's a rinse and repeat cycle ...
"However, they need to use that money they saving from Scalebound and acquire one or two exclusives for Xbox One from well know third party developers."
That comment is exactly why stuff like this happens more frequently to no other gaming company except MS. You can't just buy a good game.
This really does put into perspective how exclusives matter. Especially when 80% of the games you listed don't have a release date.
Sony have had more than enough exclusives year after year to not be affected by deep down. Scalebound was the top listed game for them this year. Crackdown needs to show up and put up if this year actually means something to MS.
I honestly am disappointed. I myself give Xbox a lot of flak for talking a lot (specifically Major Nelson and Aaron are the more annoying of their camp). But this just isn't good at all for the gaming community.
I'm sure MS has enough unshown software to hold itself afloat this year against Switch and PS4. But this news really has left a gaping hole to start off MS' new year hype.
Don't see it going multi platform. But nah it didn't sell too well, or not as well as they thought it would.
Too bad the Xbox fanbase doesn't support that style of games.
Steal? Really?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised...
It's anything but even lol
"I'm willing to discuss it. What gave you the impression I'm not?"
Everyone on N4G and the few that frequent your articles have seen the videos of you "discussing" these topics.
https://m.youtube.com/watch...
Something being "debatable" means that you'd be willing to actually discuss it. Not just cover your ears and yell "it's my opinion not yours! You have your own opinion".
Asks if the PS4 won this Holiday...writes a salty article about how PS4 dominated the whole year.
You know MS PR has these "journalists" hooked when they consider the word Holiday as the whole year.
"Remember when Microsoft considered giving the original Xbox away for free?"
And? What does that have to do with this? That was 15 years ago. The market and global economy and gaming landscape have changed.
It'll be a solid $500 or more.
It's a good list, but I got just about that same list when I asked this question last year.
To use that list...of those, besides Halo, how many are confirmed with release date to come out before October?
What's your backlog? Other than multiplats?
