Dodge and excuse?
It's a suitable assumption with the sort of performance Xbox One hasn't gotten over the years (and currently has).
"The guy from Gamepsot thinks there is some deal with Sony and Destiny 2 that might be holding back Xbox One X but Phil didn't want to get into it..."
FALSE
No one THINKS there's a deal that holds back Xbox One X. They are asking about the scenario if it were, which is why Phil danced around the question since it's hypothetical. Xbox One X has a hard enough time getting its own first party games to 60fps, so I'm gonna say that it...
"But it's unclear if that framerate is the result of hardware restrictions or because Sony..."
Just folks trying to stir the pot. The Xbox One X has a hard enough time with getting first party games to 60fps.
Why would the PS4 Pro hold the Xbox One X back when the weakest current gen console is the Xbox One S?
It's 2017 and still struggles to play games at 720-900p.
Don't forget about that 10minute car show that MS sold themselves out to!
Nah, believe me, they were far from winning. Maybe next year.
Wow...so they rode on that for the last year? How many times did we hear fanboys and Xbox PR say that Xbox would have the best VR, anything PSVR was brought up?
"Phil Spencer: I look at Pro as more of a competitor to S than I do to Xbox One X."
He's kidding right? Xbox One S has a hard enough time catching up to the base PS4 in terms of performance. Don't know what he's getting at but this comment couldn't be more far from the truth.
Doubt it. Xbox One X can't even run first party games like Gears at 60fps with all its "power".
Damn...look at all this saltiness!
My "not true at all" was in regards to EVERYTHING being 2018. It's ridiculous the lengths that you all are reaching. Sony's got you all shook!
"Nobody wants to here fanboys cry like a bunch of babies and bitch over all over again it gets very irritating mind you."
We get it. They like third party exclusivity. They showed that with the indies in their show and we get it. But you have to admit, it was a lot more annoying with them trying so hard to scrape up something to call exclusive.
"Well it finally caught up to Sony who show games far too early..."
We're all aware Moldy that MS release games much earlier and are more likely to delay or cancel them. Don't know why you're including false facts.
Their show was too notch with plenty of content.
It was all about the games. No need for the ridiculous "Exclusive" audio clip. How could you not be impressed when just about 90% of what they showed was AAA?
You brought up MS, so I'll say it...MS' E3 was lackluster aside from the hardware reveal.
Phil: "We have 42 games tonight to show you..."
*One hour into the show*
Speeds through 20+ indies, adds a 15min Sea of Thieves demo, and a 1 min trailer for Crack...
"...but it went from "oh this is gonna be great...to wait its over?"
Sweet and straight to the point...GAMES, GAMES, GAMES. And you must've not been paying attention, they literally ended it before the last trailer. In my opinion, it was much better than the snooze fest of that 15min long Sea of Thieves gameplay that had people saying "is it over yet?"
"but everything was 2018 with barely any release dates. "
The first 15 min of games were enough to set themselves up above MS'. No need for that annoying "Exclusive" announcement before each game...they spoke for themselves.
Heck, I'm just shocked at the sheer number of exclusives shown. And that's cause there's so many more in development that weren't shown today.
How did it not?
Almost purely exclusive games. Not enough talking on stage for you I'm guessing?
Wider gaming community?
There is no benefit for them in any way to go through that effort WITH Xbox specifically. Not financially, not marketing wise. Want to play with the millions of PS4 players? Or your friends that play exclusively on PS4?...buy a PS4. 👍🏼
I think we all know that there's no benefit for Sony. Not just that, but we all know where the best place to play exclusives (best quality and quantity) and multiplats is.
I know right! No worries, there's a few games coming out in 5 months that MIGHT be enough to say they had exclusives this year.
Phil: "...the hardware part of the console business is not the money-making part of the business. The money-making part is in selling games."
#1: Financially this makes no sense, especially when it's priced at the same price that cause the Xbox One to originally fail sales wise.
#2: You need games to sell games.
**The Most Important Aspect**
#3: To sell games, you actually NEED to sell consoles! At $500, that'...
