That doesn't change the fact that people can lose interest in the game. There's a lot of really talented devs, them included, that come up with truly innovative games that people flock to.
The same thing happened when overwatch was released. People left other games to play it more and more. Not that hard of a concept.
They better get this out quick before the hype dies out or jumps to another game.
Same thing happened with DayZ and H1Z1. It's only a matter of time unfortunately when it comes to those types of games.
The game needs to be supported by the xbox fanbase first and foremost. One of the most fun games this gen that many have looked over.
Didn't know that MS was making a "Hulk" movie?
Even if this did happen, it wouldn't be supported. Just look at launch to present day numbers. That's the case for most exclusive games on Xbox that aren't Halo or Gears, even forza has a hard time some years.
"they themselves said on numerous occasions they are investing in 1st party"
They've said a lot of things that to this day have had no impact on bettering MS. I'd rather not spend the time to find that chalkboard picture.
What resources? They don't have the number of devs needed to get them to even a quarter of the way to the competition in exclusives.
What money? We've already known that MS doesn't have ...
Mixer couldn't even handle the couple of thousand for E3. And believe me, it's not going to be any closer to reaching Twitch numbers or even YouTube numbers.
It would potentially tarnish the view of certain cars, and their company, because of how bad you can mess them up.
If you drove a Ferrari in any racing game, they wouldn't want you to be able to destroy it to the point of it not looking like a Ferrari. The sounds, performance (pre & post crash) are also factors.
It most certainly matters. PlayStation has its lineup of exclusives, on top of exclusive content for the games with lineages from last gen.
I don't play them. But just look a YouTube and Twitch (the biggest streaming sites) and you'll see all the youtubers only playing on playstation.
It influences a vast amount of people to purchase those types of games based on wanting content early. Same as last gen.
My take on it is this:
PS4 is leading in sales, price and exclusive games.
Switch is gaining traction with its unique features and mass market appeal.
Xbox is attempting to appeal to the premium market and its current appeal to its fanbase.
Ataribox might just throw a monkey wrench into some of the lower end of the market that is also trying to gain traction in getting more exclusives (switch and Xbox). Not sure about mass ma...
"If I have to explain it further like a parent would a child, pm me and ill let you in on what others knew what I meant."
WTF? I don't need a kid to explain to me how a new game for Xbox can almost be considered a new IP. We all get what you're saying but it's nothing close to that. Get over yourself.
"It's hard to have a discussion when you keep trying to pick a fight and then look stupid because you don't even understand what your fighting about."
How do I look stupid? You made a comment that makes no actual sense. You're just changing a definition to your liking. I'm not fighting with you Red. Just stating the fact that it's not true to the definition of a new IP.
"Their software efforts have underperformed this gen, and the Xbox division doesn’t have a blank check to do whatever they want."
Why would Phil lie about this though? He stated it years before and still nothing...
I'm glad the record is being set straight about the blank check topic. Too many fanboys on this site thinks MS has the money to buy studios and exclusives. Welcome to reality.
"Everything in his eyes is geared around console wars so it makes his no sense comments that much more fun to read."
Talk about being so defensive lol all I said was that it was reaching. Can't have a simple discussion with some of you who say whatever you think and preach it as fact.
You know what a new IP is red. Not sure how spinning it any other way makes me the one who sounds like they're not making sense.
Turn something that's already a "fanboy" thing into a "fanboy" thing? Pretty sure that's not how it works.
"it can even be viewed as a new IP for Xbox gamers."
Talk about reaching lol but whatever makes people sleep at night and think they got new IPs.
Why would they do that?
I doubt they'd gimp the x1x just to keep parity with the x1s/x1. That just wouldn't make sense unless MS really pushed for it as to not alienate the already existing fanbase.
"but you feel the need to bring up an Xbox game because I criticized a PS game"
Maybe because it's the best example of what you just explained? I swear, some people on this site are so dense.
"...the head of Xbox Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg spoke about the company’s post-Gears of War 4 release schedule, saying that “after that we get things like Halo Wars 2 in February and then we just keep kind of cranking as we go through. Sea of Thieves is coming out in that window, Scalebound, a lot more titles.”

I'm sorry...you ...
"I didn't enjoy playing it but I pressed on just to see the end which was hardly memorable."
LOL the gameplay was so seamless and consistent that @Woolly thought it was "cinematic story telling". Sorry @Woolly, but until we see this sort criticism form you on Quantum Break's literal episodes in the game, this comment is just trolling on your part.
What do you mean something big? TV bundles with consoles is nothing new.
Game bundles are where things get interesting. But to each his own. TV is cool to some I guess.
