Another E3 leak? This year has been pretty leaky in general.
Great branching story and great visuals. It’s what any fanbase should expect from their exclusives.
How would SP games canabalize each other? You can play them whenever you want and get the same experience. Never dependent on player count like MP games.
More battle royal? I guess they don’t mind canabalizing into PUBG’s user base if it’s a new game. Heck, just having all multiplayer games canabalizes each game they put out.
Here’s to hoping MS has something worthwhile for more than their 10% core die-hard fanbase.
Lmao, you must’ve made some poor choices and ended the story quick.
I’d say it’s more strange than interesting. Especially when it’s not brought up in other games that have even less diversity of bosses.
There’s about 10 boss fights from mini-boss fights to large boss fights. That’s immensely more than most single player campaigns. Anyone complaining clearly hasn’t faced the Valkyries.
Uh oh! The hype is real...
“The audio nearly a second before the video, is that just the recording, or is the game that way too?”
Recording. And this is only one of the many QTE events that help make this game a solid 9 for me. There’s a cool chase scene as well.
Imagine if it ends up being a simulation similar to Westworld! That would be awesome.
Ergonomically it’s fact that symmetry is better for human hands. If you feel comfortable with off-set sticks it’s because you’ve become comfortable to that. In the end, you can’t go wrong with the standard controller.
As it is, the Xbox Elite controller (which this article brings up) has known issues after about 6 months of use.
I don’t think anyone scoffs at time spent on a platform. Engagement is a truly good tool for publishers or developers to consider when developing/marketing games, but it’s not the whole picture. People scoff at those who consider it the end all metric of success.
“Time spent” doesn’t define quality. Especially when you get down to the data level where you compare time spent on specific games. Having a good balance of both usage and quality is key for gamers and investors. ...
“i'm not talking about MS i could give one sh--t I'm talking about undead labs...”
So am I. Cutting them slack leads to consumers supporting an unfinished or poorly made game. And that is the reason why MS’ yearly portfolio is of poor quality on average.
Cut them slack? That’s why MS is in the position they’re in right now. The fanbase just takes it.
It’s the Halo that the fanbase wanted. With campaign gameplay shown several times before launch, and with the vocal halo fanbase that’s always existed even before that, it should have come to no surprise for them.
For others, like those commenting above, it may not have met the standard. But I’ve heard and seen that many xbox one owners say that they were fine with the quality that 343 is able to achieve at their maximum effort. Heck you could see that in the MP.
I’m sure he’s fine. He’s got a pretty good taste in games and is a gamer on almost if not all platforms.
He might favor Xbox games, but he knows quality when he sees/plays it.
We’re about a month or so away from Summer. Anyone who believed this game was coming out in spring is half the reason MS is in the position it’s in right now.
Honestly, that's pathetic and ridiculous to suggest. If you bought a $500 console to play old games, then you should have stuck to the Xbox 360 and saved yourself money.
Light? Didn’t know that 4 AAA games (with more in the pipeline), third party support and indies was a light conference.
Heck, that’s more true exclusives than Xbox has had in the last 3 years combined.
Along with all the massive indie and third-party support, it sounds like it’s going to be a solid show.
“Out of every conference we know the least about MS in terms of leaks and rumors...”
Didn’t Walmart and other retailers leak some of their stuff a while back? Also there’s even more rumors with the Alexa & Google voice thing, the new elite controller, Forza, and crackdown 3. I think we know more about their conference than any other ones.
