It was probably a mistake, but a small chuckle nonetheless lol

It's not that big of a deal really. My brother said he didn't even notice the Playstation logo sequence at the end since he left the video page before that. I'm sure that was probably the case for whoever updated the site with the video.

Impressive, it is! *Yoda Voice*

It's not necessarily siding, but think they already knew way in advance. A lot of licensing stuff goes on in the background between companies in terms of preparation for trailers like these to place logos.

Which is why I think they touted that it would be available to play first on the Xbox one on twitter before the reveal.

Haha bubble+ up for making a funny.

But yeah I've been wondering about stuff like this ever since VR and AR started gaining more traction in the news.

Yeah this pretty much confirms that Sony has exclusive marketing rights like it had with Destiny. Many people will play this off and say it'll have no effects on how the game and console sell during the holidays. But it's the same thing with Call of Duty, sales have been known to be higher on the xbox, as with the sales of the console when it bundles with the game at launch. It's basic marketing principles.

With that logic(regarding your second sentence), if I found a few people who have had people hack their Xbox Live account then I could say the same thing about Xbox live...basing your statements on argumentative fallacies is the reason why people disagree with statements like that. Not because it has anything to do with being a fanboy.

Unfortunately, every technology driven company has had their devices affected by hackers one way or another.

MS may be able to find a loophole to campaign that extra week by marketing EA access. But based on most marketing deals with developers, I'd assume that doing that would be the only way MS gets that info out.

And does the trial only allow for several hours of gameplay during that week before? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Halo is a beast when it comes to its fanbase. But I'd have to agree with you @Bowzabub, and say that Battlefront and it's fanbase is just as big if not bigger! It could indeed dethrone Halo this holiday season.

You're right, only time will tell how this holiday season plays out.

People will say "No way, because I can buy both if I want to". Which is true, but the large majority of holiday owners don't have the luxury of dishing out ...

I want this right now! But sadly there's only 5 in existence according to what they mentioned. :/

I would be a day one purchase for me if they did have one though! I'd probably give my current PS4 to my younger brother so that he can enjoy playing with me online as well.

I agree.

I've been saying it for a good while already, but the game alone I believe will outpace a lot, if not all, of the released games during the holiday season. It would be no surprise if this marketing deal drives Sony along with it.

It's a marketing campaign that will be very similar to the way MS uses it for Call of Duty during the holiday season. But this time, Sony has a bigger contender with Battlefront. Why is it bigger? It's bigger be...

@Conzul

You're telling me that a game based off of a 6, going on 7, movies isn't story driven? If you honestly think that the yearly re-hashed shooters are story driven, like the example I gave, then I don't really have much else to discuss in that aspect because they honestly have no depth to them.

They already discussed how the missions in battlefront are multiplayer driven to give the sense that you're playing as part of the story with ever...

What's there to worry about? Several games will be releasing before the holidays that people will still get to play. It's not like they disappear after they're released.

And you do realize that E3 is still around the corner. I'm not saying Sony will have some huge announcement for a holiday game at E3, but the fact that they have this marketing deal is going to help them ride the hype wave from Battlefront all the way to when the movie releases.

It looks incredible!
I'm not so happy with the fact that there won't be space battles or single player. But this may be the game that finally puts a fork in Call of Duty and other yearly repetitive shooters with no story driven depth.

On a side note, I think it's pretty much confirmed that Sony has the marketing rights to Battlefront. Good move Sony!

The way IGN put it was that it's more like the missions from the very first Battlefront. Except that you can also play them split screen or with others online to finish the mission.

I guess to make it seem like you're actually part of the major Star Wars events with others. It sounds like they're trying to stay away from NPCs and keep it fully multiplayer for missions and PVP. I'm sure we'll find out more soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Xbox One have to be on to watch TV if you have your cable box setup with it?

If so, then that's where I could understand how people see this as a big deal with MS (Obviously the PS4 doesn't have, nor need, this feature). But like I said, I'm not too sure.

But if it is true, then I'm sure there's a simple solution such as an HDMI splitter for the cable box, but I doubt every Xbox One owner h...

That's great news!
Looking forward to playing this with all my buddies this holiday and beyond that till the next year. This is going to be huge come November!

I'd say the majority of the hype just comes from it being Star Wars. Most things related to big name titles like that can drive hype with the name itself. But the confidence and good praise from devs and people who've seen it has definitely been adding to that hype.

It should be live streamed tomorrow around 10:30 PDT/1:30 EDT. I'll try to edit and post time conversions for everyone in this comment once I figure it out.

It's great to see Halo getting the anticipation going for it.
I think, in my assumption, that the most anticipated game will be one that will be shown tomorrow. Either way, the more games the better! MGSV is definitely another contender for this year.

In my opinion this is the best indie game ever made. And I think it still holds that spot. A simplistic yet drop story, beautiful scenery, beautiful music (my favorite of any game actually).

Having more people enjoy it on the PS4 is only good news for those who will!

No joke, I can feel the wave of excitement and anticipation coming from the hype for this game. Its the same way I can see the storms coming over the hills here in Texas that we've had the past few days.

It's going to be amazing! And we'll be the ones who get to say that we experienced it from the start.

May the force be with you all...and the Internet... these next coming days. We'll need it.
