"It takes a lot of planning"
Of course it does. It's like writing an essay with a page limit. You write it out and cut out fluff after. Just because you had a lot to write about doesn't mean that you're essay is better than any essay you've written before.
"Last year it was literally game after game after game non stop without filler TV shows and or talk to fill the time"
Nice jab at Sony with Powers. You o...
Thank you for bringing some of these people back to reality on N4G. You've got more bubbles for a reason lol
I knew this article's title sounded familiar. I wouldn't be surprised if they say the same next year.
It would be. But it probably won't happen till next year or the year after since they've already announced bundles for this summer with the current model.
I doubt they'd want the same backlash Nintendo got with releasing their New 3DS.
Just from your first sentence I can tell that you are a very SMART man! I've been saying this from the start and all everyone ever told me was that it's "blind optimism" and that all the "dude-bro" games coming out in the holidays will muffle Star Wars Battlefront.
There's a documentary called "When Star Wars Ruled The World" that talks about how anything Star Wars flys off the shelf when any one of their movies is released. This Sta...
If I understood it correctly from a technical standpoint. The extra cores in both consoles are incase of core failure or for use of peripherals.
And with the law of diminishing return, the hardware from Xbox One may possibly not reach the level you think it will. Yes it will of course and definitely see some improvements. I just don't understand why people have this mentality that Xbox is the only one that can improve?? I guess that's what happens when they talk about DX12 fo...
@dcbronco
"Xbox One was designed with games in the forefront."
No... No it wasn't. Idk what E3 you watched in 2013, but unfortunately what they built was focused nowhere near "games only". Even though it doesn't play VCRs, it was advertised as a multipurpose Game/TV/Movie/multitasking entertainment system. Go watch their E3 again and play the drinking game every time you hear "TV" lol
Agreed! I've been waiting patiently for MGSV ever since playing MGS4. That was actually my first game on PS3.
I know tons of other games are coming out for PS4, but MGSV and Battlefront are hands down the only games I'm looking forward to. It's been a great year so far for Playstation, and it's only getting better.
It's good to hear! I'm sure there will be more talk during E3 or closer to the start of the fall season with them kicking off their games. I can see PC gaming getting a shoutout E3 potentially.
But really, "Post-summer"? Is it that hard to say fall or early fall? It's actually less characters lol
I get it though that it's PR so that it doesn't sound so far away like most of their games at the end of the year. So I guess just including th...
Yeah you're 100% right.
It isn't talking about who will win, but I know some people will take it and spin this article like that here in the comment section unfortunately.
I've always run defender since the start of destiny. And I get about 30 kills a match in crucible with good bubble placement. But I never felt like I fit in well for some of the raids/strikes and I always felt underpowered compared to being attacked by other supers.
My random two cents: Any super should not be able to destroy the bubble. Maybe reduce its time, but not destroy.
But in regards to House of Wolves Prison of Elders, I feel right at home. It&...
Gamers need to win.
Having a variety of games announced, rather than the typically milked dude-bro games from developers, is what would be a win to gamers overall. The big three simply need to show the best they've got and actually have a variety of stuff coming out during the summer/early fall. While there are plenty of great games out there, not everyone wants to wait for the holiday or next year for more great games coming out.
While each topic cover...
I guess this announcement kills any plans for a slim Xbox coming out around E3 or in 2015...
In my opinion, the color is VERY nice. But I am in no way liking the VCR form factor of the Xbox and the 90s laptop power cable it comes with.
For someone who might now be able to afford a high end PC to output the best resolution they'd like. A console is the way to go.
But all in all, YES resolution does matter.
And I'm 100% sure everyone on this site watches YouTube videos (especially game trailers) in 1080p rather than 720p. Why? Because it's a better resolution and there's no denying that.
Finding the best range for the most competitive price has always been tough on gaming companies.
The PS3 came with BluRay (something that is now revolutionary to the gaming and movie business) which is why it came out so expensive.
The Xbox one came with Kinect at $500 which is why it came out so expensive.
Price is highly dependant on the actual value of what is being sold. You can sell a toaster for $1 million, but it doesn't mean it...
I whole heartedly agree! Gameplay is why we buy games, not graphics. Whether they're exclusives or not, people will buy them if they enjoy them. And the fact that the consoles have about 90% of the same games provides gamers to really choose which console they'd rather get that will give them what they paid for.
Gameplay will always triumph graphics.
Thankfully one of these consoles doesn't need you to choose between either gamplay or graphics. (...
Sony has had much more come out throughout the year instead of the last two months two months. I mean c'mon, there's 12 months in a year. Not 2.
MS is basically gonna canibalize itself by over saturating their exclusive market all at once. Not everyone is gonna buy each "dude-bro" game they release.
Sales and pre-orders matter now? Haha
Sorry but there's no competition. UC wipes the floor in story quality over any "dude-bro" game.
They write the article as if Xbox is the only console that can get updates in terms of performance. A detailed analysis of both for future efficiency would be better than the article they have right now. But you're right, we don't know. As of right now it's just assumptions from a lot of PR talk.
PC so far is the only thing we've seen utilize DX12. We've yet to see any Xbox utilization. But I'm sure that will change soon.
Finally someone understands! If they want to talk about video games they should stick to what they know, sales and business.
An article talking about how sales are important and influence greater developer support for a larger fanbase, would be a much better business analysis from them compared to trying to assume and explain what they think DX12 will do. Their last sentence was literally the only business aspect they could take away from their assumption on DX12.
Good for those who are able to play it this year(:
But they're used to waiting for what? For people to stop making it seem like Playstation has no games? lol Great games come out for the PS4 every month.
There's been no waiting till the trees turn brown with Sony(: it's games all year long.
