I'm pretty sure it has something to do with a lot of the Halo 5 advertising. I see it the CGI hunt the truth trailer pretty frequently. And the fact that they show the MCC bundle at the end of the commercial with "$350" entices a lot of people to go out and buy it.

E3 isn't that unpredictable though, especially in light of the leak of Gears. Halo gameplay, Gears gameplay, Forza gameplay as the top attractions for the event are easily known to be there. I...

Congrats to MS. But this is US only.
I'd imagine this increase was influenced by a lot of the Halo advertising they've been pushing on TV. I lost count of how many times I saw fhe CGI "Hunt the Truth" trailer throughout the end of the NBA season for the Spurs this past month.

That "temporary" price cut seems to be much longer than the month they said it would be back in January. It's no doubt good for wallets lol

But ...

It's actually nothing at all like paying full price for single player only games. If the internet goes out, you can still play them. That's how I still play games from the PS1/N64 days when I feel nostalgic.
While with online only, you get to sit there and wait till it works again if it goes out or the servers are down. Obviously you can get a lot out of online only games, but most (not all) really should not have that $60 price tag.

I'm not 100% sold on VR yet. But things list this are what grab my attention!
If Sony gets pricing right on their VR, I can see games like this driving the popularity of VR.

The future looks just as good as the present for Sony.

If there was a handbook on how to make every wrong move in the gaming industry, Konami would be the prime example.

They've literally made this game into the most exclusive game in history. And besides those who have it and are able to play it, it's really not a good thing at all -_-. Here's to hoping they give someone more responsible the rights to this game.

"They're the most out of touch d***** bags in the industry"

Did we see the same E3 conference in years like 2013? I'm 100% sure that they don't get that title.

@krypt1983

Game streaming from your console is a great feature for gaming in general. It's cool that the Xbox is getting it soon. But unfortunately they're already far behind before they've even released it.

As of now it only works on local networks. Remote play on the PS4 works well beyond the boundaries of your home wi-fi network and streams up to 720p/60fps (which should be amazing to many since according to a lot of people on this site, that&#...

@NeoGamer

I appreciate you informing me about a lot of the other features that I can use outside of using the Xbox One for gaming. But what I meant from my comment was that I don't see how Sony needs catching up to do, especially in terms of gaming features (since I obviously bought a PS4 to play games).

But if hiding your games and having internet explorer, along with the rest of the stuff you listed is your cup of tea, well to each his own.

Nintendo knows how to handle a gaming conference. Props to them! They've yet to let me down.

No gimmicks or nonsense at E3 this year for Nintendo. And hopefully it's the same for the others as well. No one wants to sit through a gaming conference to listen about anything other than games. At least, that's my take and opinion on E3.

No doubt they'll have a lot to show! But I'm pretty sure that trailers coming out early before E3 are mutually exclusive to themselves and have no affect on the outcome of E3.

And as a side note. This game definitely reminds me of Ori, and that is a very good vibe that I like in games!

How is that?
If I'm right, besides media, Sony has been delivering well in terms of game features. Remote play being the best hands down. Being able to play my PS4 400 miles away while I'm on a road trip is downright awesome.

@TheRedButterfly

Actually in this case that's not how it's working...

Showing an game box for xbox one, using an xbox controller are why people are making a big deal about this. Especially since I'm 100% sure that an Xbox does not output what PC footage would look like.

Unless it magically happened when they placed the game in the xbox, then I don't think it takes much of a thought process to realize that steps were needed in ...

Exactly! It's bad practice with any company that does this. Whether it's a developer or Sony, MS, or Nintendo.

A disclaimer would have sufficed. Too many people on this website and other gaming websites were touting it as Xbox gameplay and how great it looked. Then when this came to light, the way the game looks all of a sudden didn't matter haha it happens and has happened with every fanboy camp. But this one is what's out in the open right now and people won...

"How do you know it was planned"

I'm pretty sure PC footage doesn't come out when you play a game on an Xbox One.

"Again, it was just a question (I cant ask these anymore it seems -_-' )"

Haha no one said you can't ask questions? Don't know what anyone said that made you think that? All they did was reply to your question.

People had the same mentality of questioning Netflix when it came out. PS Now isn't aimed at people who game constantly. It's aimed at casual gamers to younger gamers where they may only have a vita or psTV (because of cost) that want to play during the 3 months of summer or maybe a month during the holiday.

Not everyone plays games every single day. The same way not everyone watches movies on Netflix every single day. Its not going to be a fit for everyone. But for ...

Comparing a girl to how gamers look at game. 10/10 for good example /s

If you don't nitpick what you pay full price for, that's when companies take advantage of that. Yes enjoy the game, but don't set a lower expectation to looks just because you know the content is good. If we stick to your mentality, then we'd still be able to count pixels in games.

I realize that Xbox hasn't been hitting 1080p each time. But you do realize that it is p...

Who is talking about PS4? Stay on topic...

OT:
It'll be a good feature for those with an extra HDD and who use their Xbox primarily for watching tv. I wonder if it would work while playing games? Like record at the same time and then watch whatever you recorded afterward.

It's because they know both E3 and Gamescom are important and because history has shown that MS loves to put all their eggs in one basket. All announcements in the summer, and all games during the holiday season.

I think it should be the other way around in my opinion. The fact that Star Wars is coming out on several platforms is what's gonna drive it over most of the competition, including exclusives, in terms of hype.
