Yes it should. Along with every other FPS/TPS shooter coming out around the release of Battlefront and the new Star Wars Movie.
Edit:
Need an explanation to why?
Most people know these big name shooters since they milk their franchises, especially the yearly ones. But everything this holiday will revolve around Star Wars. It's historically happened every single release of their movie. Toys and game sales sky rocket and other movies/games get muffled in the...
An "80 inch tv" that might make you cross eyed for the rest of your life because of the small field of view lol
PC gaming already has respect. It's just that not everyone wants to buy a PC along with a peripheral console like Xbox. Mostly because not everyone can afford it. However, cross platform gaming (one aspect they mentioned in the article), could definitely and potentially be a game changer to gain more traction on PC gaming.
But streaming games (another aspect mentioned), is definitely NOT a game changer to the industry. They forgot to mention that it's only on local n...
If true, they'll pretty much kill consumer support for this product if the price is too high with not enough software to use it with at launch.
This sort of stuff happens a lot in the tech world when new technology comes out.
Yeah it's great to see them expanding to other peripherals to get to the people who don't really care for consoles or who wish to just plug and play old games on things from a psTV to things like a Samsung TV.
Yeah I started reading it and it read as all of the other articles I've seen on this lol I caught it at the very end when I re-read the article. You're very right!
How many more articles about game value do we need? Lol I can see them doing an end of the year comparison, but that should really be it.
On topic:
I've enjoyed all that PS+ has to offer since the start many years ago.
Edit:
Never mind, I can see why they did the comparison I skipped over that last paragraph. It's been a year of Xbox Games with Gold and they're comparing it to PS+ since last year. My bad.
"The Vita does have AR functionality but it has not been utilized very well at all"
You obviously haven't played Tearaway, or the AR cards that come with every Vita.
No one is promoting anything? But saying that HoloLens is a "game changer for gaming" like the title says, is far from the truth. VR isn't even a game changer for gaming either.
For productive purposes I can see it being utilized more than as a gimmick for gami...
Is this not a gaming website? Yes I am comparing it to vita in what everyone here would be interested in knowing about HoloLens in regards to gaming. It's defining feature is AR and yes the vita already utilizes that.
Like I said below.. "HoloLens uses it in a variety of environments for productivity, but it's in no way new or revolutionary in terms of gaming. It's been done plenty of times even before the vita."
@IGiveHugs
I was talking about Augmented Reality. Is that not the defining feature of HoloLens??
Obviously the HoloLens uses it in a variety of environments for productivity, but it's in no way new or revolutionary in terms of gaming. It's been done plenty of times even before the vita.
Everyone acts like HoloLens is revolutionary to gaming, but they don't realize that the ps vita already utilizes this very well...
For a work environment I can see its effectiveness. But if people want to walk around with it like google glass, then goodluck haha
Exactly! Why change something that is clearly working and helping stay above the competition.
Just curious cause I love features like this on consoles, but does this allow for playing games on surface tablets or computers? Or is it more of an AirPlay like setting, to where you can show what's on your tablet?
The game is gonna be huge in terms of how great it will be! There's no denying that!
But the title of biggest and best thing this holiday is without a doubt Star Wars Battlefront! IMO
That's great to hear! As history has shown, change can range from great to amazing. It's only about a month away till we get a flood of great gaming news all around.
But honestly, were they expecting him to say anything negative about E3 regarding Xbox?
I like the fact that he kinda brought everyone back to reality when he said "I honestly think this one is better but of course I'd say that".
Unfortunately with all that's been going on with Konami, its production has probably been halted. :/
I really hope it hasn't though.
I'm glad that I have this masterpiece of a horror teaser/game downloaded to my PS4. It shouldn't be affected by this hopefully.
What?
I would die peacefully if the PS4 looked even half this good! If it is a true screenshot of gameplay then it's pretty safe to say that this will be the game that defines the start of true current gen games.
By the way, where did you find that if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to see if maybe there's more.
Edit:
Nevermind! I just found it. And the fact that it was a gameplay picture for split screen co-op, I am one happy man.
I think they put it in a good context. "A changing of the guard".
Sony has never really been as big in advertising 3rd party games as MS is to my knowledge. So adjusting to a market that isn't as heavily advertised, since MS is trying to move toward promoting their 1st party games coming out this holiday, really changes the playing field.
Everyone thought that Sony would just had MS the holiday season without fighting back. With this Battlefront...
The original battlefront literally had missions similar to what's been announced and had several maps to choose from. Which was great. While I am disappointed about space battles, this battlefront obviously isn't a sequel to the second game. It's definitely an echo of the original Battlefront.
And I'll be honest, I am looking forward to COD zombies. I predict that they'll eventually have a game focused on that in the coming years.
