It's on gamepass so none of this matters.
How exactly are Sony monopolistic when they aren't the ones spending 80 billion to swoop up mountains of content and IPs forever? Most of their success has come from studios they've held longstanding relations with mostly working on Sony owned IP before being acquired.
They've made one large purchase in recent years and it's a single studio, whom are allowed to develop for whatever platforms they want, unlike what MS have done with Bethesda, cancelling PS ve...
"Either you buy and fund a company or everyone should have access."
So timed exclusive is somehow worse than longstanding multiplatform IPs going exlclusive forever, interesting.
@wiz
I'm not debating market caps, yes Sony cannot do that, I'm saying they haven't had to do that, whether they can or not to have the success they've had by putting out banger after banger, whereas MS have flopped for over a decade.
'I can most definitely point to times in history to where a studio would have been third party but Sony decided to buy them.'
So Sony have bought a decent amount of studios yes, man...

And if this aqcuisition doesn't lead to the market share gains they desired in say, 5 years time, are they allowed to then just continue buying up other large parts of the industry until they own basically everyting all in the name of 'competition'? As if they are just entitled to market share because a competitor(s) are doing far better while spending a fraction of the money building renowed games and longstanding IPs?
An awful p...
You'll have to point us to where Sony spent 80 billion on multiplatform publishers to accomplish that.
Also this article headline is a bit clickbaity, it's just recycling that "150 million more players" thing again.
Tchia got a 60fps patch literally days after release, Forspoken wasn't made by a first party studio either unlike Redfall, and nobody is defending it either, Forspoken sucks and is poorly optimised lol.
While I don't condone the harrassmant at all, I personally thought her performance was bland, she sounded bored the whole time, and didn't really act in any way like the Ada fans know, don't recall seeing any comments about race myself.
I wasn't a fan of the gambit system, felt too automated for my liking.
It looks boring and super generic, every character is the same floating shooting type, we waited 8 years for the excellent rocksteady to produce this steaming pile of crap? That's the biggest disappointment about all of this.
"His whole argument makes it appear Sony is completely innocent, yet they pay off 3rd part for exclusivity both games and content, that is a known fact."
oh look, the same false equivalence of comparing 80 billion buying out of decades old multiplatform franchises to a handful of timed exclusives deals, which MS still do as well with the likes of Stalker 2, Ark 2, Valheim etc, funny how you convenienly forget this for arguments sake.
"There´s a lot of hypocrite PS fanboys that already have a Series console or are filing MS´s pockets on PC via Gamepass, they´re just too coward to admit it."
Yeah... the massive recent sales of xbox in comparison to PS and stagnating gamepass subs really supports this argument.
Hey lets just take everything out of context and present it as fact, truly emulating Phil and MS!
Yeah, insert conspiracy theories and statements from obviously not biased US politicians here, it can't possibly be any other reason at all.
Thought 3 was better personally, shame it's stuck on PS2 and didn't get any love since.
'Sony uses their large marketshare to get exclusive deals MS can't preventing multiplatform games coming to Xbox. MS uses their large chequebook to get multiplatform publishers Sony can't.
Each has their ways stop moaning about it and get over it.'
Could have worded it like this, Sony have a few timed exclusive deals but MS are spending 80 billion on multiplatform publishers to buy out IPs forever, how is this the same???
Hopefully this completely fails and they finally let it go.
Nah, it's a well known fact from a few on this website that gamepass subscribers play a game then go out and buy 10 physical copies of said game for no particular reason.
Nah sales numbers don't matter anymore, only 'engagement', bullets fired, miles driven, player counts when games are given away etc.
Sorry I should have left a /s on this lol.
