Eurogamer love MS so not surprised at the misleading headline.
You'll never convince them, they just have gamepass logos in their eyes and are oblivious to everything else.
Most of it as a result of MS misinformation, astroturfing, paid shills, MS mouthpieces like Tom, Jez, and indoctrinating their fanbase to think that paying for a game is bad, not seeing the bigger picture as long as the games are 'free', and let's be honest, just wanting to stick it to PlayStation.
Yep, and the worrying thing about this, is whether it goes through or not, MS won't be done, if the CMA stick to their decision, what's to stop MS trying to swoop up take 2 and/or EA or whatever other publisher? If it does go through eventually what's to stop them from doing that anyway and consolidating on an even more massive scale? If Activision is able to be bought, why not the smaller, albeit still big publishers? The precedent will have been set.
They can&...
They aren't 'lashing out' they are stating their view and doubling down, they even said they said respect the EU decision even if the disagree. Lashing out is what Brad, Kotick, Lulu and co did when the CMA moved to block it a few weeks ago.
Alright that's pretty funny.
How noble of him to take only 21 million instead.
This is really trying to pull something from nothing lol.
FF is a lost cause, with the recently well received Pixel collection being released on PS and Switch, FF7 remake which sold plenty and was well recieved, and the very good looking footage of FF16 which is around the corner, sure FF is a lost cause, keep coping.
'MSFT won’t put any ABK games on U K'
Not sure how the board and shareholders of MS and ABK will feel about them not releasing potetionally their most popular games in their 2nd biggest market, they are barely relevant anywhere outside of these 2, and MS already declined structural remedies before.
Even if the EU do approve it, it doesn't really impact the size of the spanner the CMA blocking the deal has thrown in the works, this also buys ti...
Looking forward to giving this a go, heard it's a bit more traditional in some ways so that's music to my ears.
So much for DF telling us to get used to 30fps games going forward just because this one wasn't well optimised at release.
MS recently:
Laid off 10k staff
Bought Bethesda and laid staff off
Spent 10 billion on chatGPT
Are trying to spend 68 billion on ABK
Made 18 billion NET in Q1 2023 alone
Are one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world
Still won't give their staff a payrise. Why don't you post on your real account instead of making alts? lol
One of the largest and most profitable companies in the world, what a slap in the face to the employees who will be feeling this economy much harder than the company itself, scummy move.
So obscure, goalposts are now being moved that 1st party exclusives only count and not 3rd? Convenient lol.
It isn't on the MS store, they don't get a penny from Activision games sold on PC via battlenet and steam, whether the PC is running Windows or not, stupid logic.
Wait, did Phil really try to claim that great games don't sell a console? This guy is just bizarre.
The UK is Microsoft and CoDs 2nd biggest gaming market and a population of almost 70 million people, they would lose out on hundreds of millions, shareholders especially would laugh them out of the door, Pachter is a moron who cheerleads hard for MS these days and very often gets things wrong, thinking MS will pull Xbox or their entire business out of the UK are in dream land.
- Restricting multiplatform games from systems they've been available on for many years/deacdes.
- MS wanting to stick everything on it's subscription service, taking away real ownership.
- These terrible '10 year deals' taking 100% of the revenue, giving other platform holders less funds available to make great games.
- Mass consolidation of the industry if the acquisition goes through, what's to stop MS buying even more with this precedent, con...
