Did you also stop reading when MS mentioned 'anonymous' game companies to the CMA in favour of the acquisition a few months ago?

This article is almost a month old and is pretty outdated given what happened on wednesday.

Yeah, Sony with the open, transparent stats unlike MS trying to hide Xbox's shortcomings for years with misleadin stats.

The government actually support the decision and the PM has no legal sway over the CMA at all, this is just major copium lmao.

The CMA and UK government are independent of each other as well, and a spokesperson for the PM said they stand firmly behind the CMA decision.

I wonder if the same people calling Sony crybabies will now direct this towards MS.

Dry your tears Brad, it's better for the industry as a whole this way, here's a shocking thought though, why not take even a fraction of that 68 billion and invest in your own already large amount of studios and IPs instead of buying up everyone elses, putting your logo on it, taking credit for it, and removing them from the competition?

Think of all the new studios they could even form or cultivate with that kind of financial backing, just as MS claim it would be e...

Jez and windows central in complete ruins and full damage control mode.

Given MS' recent track record I don't think they understand game development either...

Oh woe is me I don't get to see MS start a monopoly. Maybe MS should use their already large amount of studios and talent to make interesting new IPs instead of trying to buy everyone elses, put their logo on and take credit for it.

Yeah, Activision are going to sacrifice 70% of the their CoD console base and biggest revenue generator because of this regulators decision when they didn't even use any of Sony's arguments for the decision basis, I'm sure everyone and all shareholders at Activision will go for that.

This is a good day for gaming and the industry as a whole, MS have many studios and IPs particularly from the bethesda purchase and have the coffers to compete easily without buying a titantic sized publisher. Although I feel no sympathy for those crying on twitter on reddit about not getting their 'free' call of duty out of this.

I'd like to think a person's console of choice wouldn't influence whether they would be homophobic enough to review bomb a game, but you know that, anything for a jab at PS lol

The mental gymnastics here is seriously next level.

Hard disagree, physical games hold value and on playstation at least, most of the time they are fully playable offline day 1.

Windowscentral, even with a somewhat negative xbox article, still try to prop as much as possible, talking about the 'incredible 2021 for xbox' ???? And how xbox is apparently more popular and profitable than ever lol.
