There are a lot of people who aren't interested in PC gaming, or who are just not technically savvy enough to build a gaming PC. In many cases, people don't have the money to spend on a 'good' gaming PC(a good PC for under $1,000.00 is nonsense, at least when buying new). I think there will always be a market for both.
Even when people say that there is no point in buying an Xbox anymore, they aren't looking at how the c...
Oh man! If Sony starts releasing games on PC, I will be a very happy man! I already have a well established PSN account, so to sign in would be a piece of cake. I think Sony realizes that they can't stay tethered to their own hardware forever, and that there is a much bigger PC market, with consumers that will never buy a PlayStation. This also puts some merit behind the leaked PC version of Horizon: Zero Dawn. Very interesting times indeed!
That's a pretty good analysis, which I would agree with. Although, based on the fact that the RX 5700 XT is $449.00 USD, I would price that top level card (RX 5950 XT) at $849.00. The RX 5700 XT will also get a price drop, as most people have opined that AMD are actually making really good margins on those cards at current prices. It's a guarantee that AMD will pull the same move they did with Intel, and totally blow Nvidia out of the water on pricing. It was s good tactic with their ...
As you should. I wish I could legally own an MP5 or PS90 here in Canada, but the rules around firearms are so rigerous, that it's too much of a pain in the ass. If I lived in the country side, i'd have a shotgun and a long gun at the very least, just for bears mainly.
I like the U.S. list much better. Guitar Hero 3 was such an awesome game, and so was CoD: World at War and MW2. Not too sure what the rest of the world was thinking, especially when Black Ops 4 makes the global list....
Damn, if a new Socom game is being made, along with a new Killzone game, I may have no choice to buy a PS5 on day one. Also, if the rumor of backwards compatibilitly is true, with regards to all formats, I sure hope I'll be able to play all of my digital PS3 games.
The other nice part about this, is because I skipped the PS4 generation, I will be able to play Uncharted 4 and Infamous Second Sun. Also, despite the fact that I didn't care for Killzone Shadow Fall when...
A lot of research goes into buying a car, especially when it's brand new lol
In terms of looks, the PS1 was not bad, but I loved the look of the original fat PS2. I was a big fan of the fat PS3 and the first slim version of the PS3. For the PS4, it wasn't bad, but I absolutely didn't like the look of the triple layer PS4 PRO.
Having said all of that, if this is the look of the new PS5, then this is the ugliest console that they've ever made. Lets hope that this isn't the real deal. I actually think that the PS5 dev kit looks pretty...
@ tontontan0 (hear me out on this)
The great part about having a PC, is when you finally have all of your components together (or you buy a Dell XPS or Alienware or whatever floats your boat), you can upgrade your graphics card 5 - 8 years later, while keeping everything else, and it's almost like having a new PC when you do that. Yes, the cost of admission is higher on PC for sure, but it can last you much longer, in terms of being relevant to gaming, and it does so mu...
That's true, kids learn some gardening skills at a very young age with the Mario series.
Exciting times!
Yeah, like, if you want to learn how to be a dad, you should play God of War...
If Sony is skipping E3, then it could possibly be due to the same kind of situation that they had last year, where they had very little in the way of new games to announce, which, I wouldn't think would be the case this time around. The other more plausible reason, would be, that they know that their console will be less powerful (9.2 Tflops) than the Xbox Series X (12 Tflops), and they don't want to have their show following up the next day, only to announce a less capable product, w...
Who funded this study? Epic Games?
- Ryzen 7 3700X 8 Core/16 Thread
- RX 5800 with 56 CUs (12 Tflops)
- 16 GB GDDR 6 Memory
- 1 TB SSD
Most games that will be released on consoles, will also be released on PC, so virtually every game will be built to be scalable among a wide range of hardware. Yes, you are correct that as the games become more complicated over time, the minimum specifications go up, but if you go into the Steam store, and look at the minimum specs for a number of fairly recent big games, you will see that much of these minimum specifications are actually quite old.
Except that Microsoft is using a Zen 2 processor in the Xbox Series X, which should be able to handle everything the GPU throws at it. If Microsoft were to have designed this console using the old AMD FX CPUs, which they used in the Xbox One, and paired it with a new 12 Tflop GPU, then you might have a point.
To use the PC analogy again, before the Ryzen 7 2700X and the GeForce RTX 2080 launched, nobody was saying that developers should not design games to use older hardware, predating the newest hardware yet to come out, because it would be a silly thing to say.
Developers always have to balance their vision, with whatever kinds of hardware they want their games to be available on, verses how many consumers they want to reach. The higher the minimum specifications, the fewer so...
Developers will make that call. Microsoft is the only one that is saying that they'll support their older consoles with new games from their own studios for at least 2 years after the launch of the Xbox Series X. There's no reason why other developers from EA, Ubisoft or wherever, couldn't raise the concern that you just mentioned, and say that the minimum spec that they need for their new game to work properly, is the Xbox One X, leaving the OG Xbox One and Xbox One S out of the ...
If you're buying brand new, just buy an RTX 2060 Super, since it's cheaper and more powerful. The other option, which is also more powerful than the Vega 64 and GTX 1070TI, but is just slightly less powerful than the RTX 2060 Super, is the RX 5700. This card is also roughly $40.00 cheaper on average than the RTX 2060 Super, depending on which variant you get.
