Playstation Network allows me to play games online and is very reliable and it has no subscription charges!
This makes me happy and I personally could care less for additional features such as Home & Streaming movies! I bought my games console to play games and that's what I do on it!
(and watch blu ray as a bonus)

Judging by Microsofts recent track record you'd be mad to plan to upgrade to Windows 7 at least until it's been out long enough to see how good / reliable it really is in the real world.

They technically didn't make Counter Strike, or Portal even! Counter strike started life as a Half Life Mod developed and released for free by independent developers. Valve liked what they did so much that they hired the team which made Counterstrike and funded them to make CS-Source

You misunderstood, I never said Left 4 Dead was a bad product! I said Microsoft have produced bad products being Windows and the 360, which despite having many great games you have to be the definition of a fan boy to defend the build quality of the product.
Left 4 Dead is a Valve/EA product and one which I definitely would give a go if it were to appear on a system which I owned.
I have to disagree, I gave Far Cry 2 more than enough of a chance and it was just a poor game in my opinion, It never felt 'fun' to play, more of a chore.
Far Cry 1 was a master piece and crytec must look at what ubisoft have done with there franchise and laugh!
Ubi had all the right ambitions and ideas, but the never added the fun factor. it suffers from bad direction and lack of focus I feel.
Sorry but Halo and Half Life are not even in the same league as each other. They aren't even similar sorts of games.
Half Life is an epic single player experience, Halo3 is mainly a multiplayer game.
Half Life could be argued as the best FPS series of all time, but Halo for me personally doesn't match up! in fact I personally struggle to think of anything which compares to Half Life's quality. COD4 is the next closest thing, but Call of Duty as a series is let down b...

But we all remember the 4th film released, Episode 1 the phantom menace was poor! and the next two films were no where near the quality of the original trilogy!

I agree with you that the controls should of been tweaked and refined more.
I disagree with people who want this to play and feel like a Gears of War game (in controls)
However I do not feel this is the make or break moment that everyone seems to be treating it as if it is! the point of comparing to RE4 is that RE4 is still enjoyable with similar controls, so plenty of fun can be had with RE5 despite the controls feeling slightly dated.

I agree that Valves attitude towards PS3 stinks, they have a complete lack of professionalism. It's alright to choose a platform and go with it, but to publicly talk down a competing platform is just childish.
It's just sad because as a PS3 owner I hope I don't miss out on Half Life 2 Episode 3, although with Valve's development cycles it probably won't be out until next gen :)

Some would rather not give there money to MS for a bad product, that's why I have a PS3 and an Apple Mac (that and I have to use Mac for work)
