I bought a PS3 for MGs4 and personally I wasn't disappointed. I still think MGS1 on PS1 was the best, but MGS4 was amazing!

I'm also a realistic...

Metal Gear Solid was originally planed for the N64, Metal Gear 1 & 2 were both on the NES. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes was on Gamecube. With Metal Gear Solid 2 being ported to Xbox. So basically I wouldn't be surprised to see the next Metal Gear game appearing on any of the consoles. and as a metal gear solid fan, if...

That's the same power button that's on my Dreamcast! MGS Dreamcast Version! oh wait it's also the same symbol on my Macbook - MGS Mac Version!! oh wait - it's the same on the 360, PS3, Wii! oh my good I'm so confused!

Wait I have that power symbol on my washing machine! that's what it must be! it's so simple!

P.S. Metal Gear Solid is known for branching out on other consoles, Metal Gear Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 2 on Xbox, so in other words I wouldn't be surprised i...

I got the impression NXE is more like a re-skin of the original dashboard with a few extra features and more organised / user friendly being the aim.

Where as Home looks to me more like a version of Second Life, revolving around games.

I though the xbox's NXE is more comparable to the PS3 XMB as they both serve the same purpose. In other words NXE & Home I thought were completely different things which is why when people compare the two on here it's confused me....

I was getting all ready to complain about companies charging you money for mundane items like 'extra clothes' but instead I have to give kudos to MS for giving away something for free (things like this should always be free in my opinion, espically on XBL, the subscription charge should be more than enough to gain access to a section amount of free dlc.)

& Looking at Sony - I paid £40 for Little Big Planet if they think I'm forking out an extra 70p to dress my sack boy u...

I saw Fable 2 in Gamestation at 19.99 on Sunday, but my educated guess is that it was for limited time only and each week they change which game is in the sale, this week being Fallout3.

@greedo1980 I bought Call Of Duty 4 last year in the build up to christmas in a similar sale, it was either 19.99 or 24.99 I can't remember now, but they did exactly the same thing last year, changing which game was in the sale each week in the build up to christmas. So I would not be surprised t...

Hopefully Activision are only doing this as they are trying to milk the bond franchise for as much as they can... Call of Duty Style.

So hopefully while Bizarre are creating a 'racing driving' bond game to fill in the gap while another studio that is already working on a bond game to match Goldeneye to be released a year or so after this 'spin off'

As for Shenmue Bond Style.

It could be an amazing game, but the way that Activision didn't prioritise the ...

If microsoft were so supportive of the development studios, why did Bungie want to split from them?

my educated guess's are...

Pressure from Microsoft to release Halo on tight deadlines when it suited Microsoft rather then when the game was ready?

Bungie wanted to branch out and work on a new ip or maybe reinvent an old ip but Microsoft aren't interested in that.

Either way it's not like we're seeing lots of studios flourishing under Microso...

I don't believe something has to be comepletely unique to qualify as innovative...

Portal combines First Person Perspective we are very familiar with simple button pushing puzzles, with only the portal gun being 'new'

Little Big Planet is just a platformer combined with physics engine and a really good level editor.

It's all about the bigger picture for me, What do all the individual elements equal up to, and how do they come together?

What ...

As long as OS X has like a 7% market share, and it's known to be far more secure 'out of the box' than any windows OS, I don't see this being a problem.

The average hacker is going to spend his time coding virus's for the most popular OS to maximise it's effect.

I for one have been running OSX for 4 years now without anti virus and I have never had a virus and never had to reformat. I'm not saying they are 100% safe, but I had a lot more problems when I was a windo...

You do have some valid points but I think your argument is flawed.

First off I agree that there probably is a neutral respect between Nintendo, Sony & Microsoft which doesn't get represented in the media.

You mention Sony making great games!?!? but the four games you mention do not belong to sony in anyway what so ever. Final Fantasy (square) & Metal Gear (Konami) Both started life on other systems, Tekken (namco) started in the arcade & Resident Evil is ...

First off, I will agree to disagree - I'm not trying to change your opinion, I just don't agree with it.

From what you said you put a lot of emphasis on graphics, - based on your comments for uncharted & Killzone. I for one want to know how many times I've got to see a cover system in a game before it stops getting described as 'innovative' regardless of what genre it pops up in. Also Like I said with Killzone in a previous comment, I haven't tried it yet, I will be giving it...

That's alright then :)

Sometimes I find it hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic or blindly defending microsoft or sony or nintendo. who essentially don't care about us, they just want our money!!!! But you know how people get when you critise there console.

Man you need to really look up the definition of 'innovation' in my opinion there are approximately 2 or 3 innovative games every console generation if we are lucky. To get onto that list it has nothing to do with graphics! Art style maybe, Jet Set Radio, Okami, Mirrors Edge, Madworld, No More Heros and Wind Waker are all examples of unique art styles not obsessed with polygon counts, however art style alone wouldn't be enough to create an innovative game. (and it doesn't have to be considere...

I don't know you and don't know if your being serious or sarcastic.

I'm guessing you are being sarcastic and in that case kudos to you,

However if you are being serious... have you never seen a karaoke machine?

Even though I'm a proud PS3 owner I still have to disagree, Uncharted, Resistance, MGS4 are in no way innovative. I haven't played Killzone or Warhawk so I can't really comment on them, but from what I've seen I wouldn't call them innovative. they're are all just Current Gen versions of their respected genres. They are all great games, but innovative? no.

Little Big Planet is the only game that can be argued to be innovative in my opinion.

I think what it comes down ...

There are no more original ideas left, everything is borrow and enhanced.

Even Mirrors Edge is just a combination of two genres fused together to create something unique.

Also you can't expect a creative to design a game without being inspired and influenced by games from the past... otherwise the industry would stand still and never advance.

Games which feel fresh / unique or original are of just inspired by other mediums other than gaming. GTA & Re...

Not everyone is going to require a 400GB Rewritable Disk to fill. Hell most people don't even need to burn DVDs. The average user who is only backing up word documents and a few digital photos won't need this.

However you there are people who would like to be able to burn a 400GB Disk. When I was at uni I managed to fill 250GB on a single project. I was creating a piece of motion graphics and wanted to keep all the raw footage incase I screwed up and needed to start from scratch...
