that is just your opinion! I personally don't rate the acrobatic shoot em up adventures of marcus & co that highly, it just didn't push my buttons.
Hell for me Gears didn't surpass Half Life 2 in gameplay, as for PS3 exlusives, I prefer Metal Gear over Gears, on 360 exclusives I prefer Fable 2.

personally me, I'm not really a fan of Gears art direction (nor am I of Killzone2) but it doesn't mean that I have to force my opinion on to everybody else, everyone to there own.
I'm also not convinced KZ2 does anything really special, it just seems like a good solid game, I will definitely be getting it, as it does seem fun, but all the hype surrounding it it's almost as if it's the 2nd coming of christ!
I thought the article was going to spin this direction and give a more balanced article, or even become a pro MS article.

Why would anyone own 5 360s? as much as I much prefer PS3 to the 360, I would buy a 360 instead of buying a 2nd PS3 to give myself a wider choice of games?

I think it's naive to think MS will pay any attention to this article! A well written article in a national newspaper or journal maybe, but not some trash on the internet.

Firefox is not as widely used as Internet Explorer, it doesn't matter if you me, and even god knows that firefox is better than internet explorer, you average windows user just doesn't care and will use what ever comes packaged in the box.

it doesn't matter how basic the story is, if a game tells the story then gaming is a story telling medium, it may not be his perfered medium for 'stories' but a lot of games do have a narrative, end of.

Hardly any publisher has really pushed the wii graphically yet as they don't think it is important to sell games on this console. Yeah mate I loved Counterstrike, it so deserves to be released on modern system along with Q3A, although I'm a PS gamer at the moment, so personally I would want it to appear on PSN as well as XBL, hell it could even appear on Wii for download if they sorted out a decent storage capacity!
I still remember all the maps off of Counterstrike (original maps, not obviously all the user created maps!) and of Q3A like the back of my hand! I'll probably remember the maps in COD4 for a lo...

There were plenty of amazing games out prior to this generation, one of my favourite FPS is Quake 3 arena, and it certainly isn't due to graphics!
Bioshock might or might not come out on wii, and if it did it will be at a lower resolution, and toned down graphics, but look at Black on PS2, the that looks stunning, Metroid 3 on Wii has beautiful art direction, Polygon count and resolution isn't the only thing that matters!
I see your point, but I meant more from a financial point of view, I can't go around buying every game I want!
It is a bit sad that these great games go almost unnoticed amoungst the shovel ware on wii, (apart from maybe umbrella chronicles which I think is of questionable quality? i've not tried it so correct me if i'm wrong)
I've personally picked up Okami for wii, amazing game. RE4 I already had for cube so I am not going to buy it again. Zack & wiki has tempted me, but I can't go buying every game to just support a publisher!
People are jumping to so many conclusions based on this trailer! no gameplay, poor graphics, bla bla bla. Personally I was blow away by what the iPhone can do graphically, I wasn't expecting it to look anywhere near that good. as for gameplay it's hard to really judge from a short trailer.
I'm not saying this game is going to be good, but I'm not going to slate it from a short trailer, I think it's got potential and we won't really know until we can play it.
