I think I've signed up with 2 or 3 petitions. One of it was Dead Souls. But I never signed a petition asking for console exclusive DLC for the PC version. In fact, as far I remember there is very little or no petition like that. Most PC petitions are asking for PC versions of a console game. DLC petitions for the PC are pretty much non-existent.
Wait the minute.....my old PC made of Intel Q6600 and AMD HD 5850, both at stock speed, performed better than what the Official Playstation Magazine had yielded with their latest rig. Only Arma 2 and Metro 2033 with full Dx11 effects on would made it stutter a lot. Bulletstorm at 30fps with that kind of hardware?
That article is weird.
I've always wondered where this constant PC upgrade perception comes from. My first gaming PC was just a Pentium 3 666mhz and a Geforce 3. It wasn't until Pentium 4E rolled out that I started to upgrade again. During that time I've always hear people doing upgrades every 6-12 months while my PC stayed the same but still great at playing games. With current hardware it's even more ridiculous for us to think someone, an average gamer, out there would be upgrading every year (unl...
I don't have any proper words left to say about this game.
@Mario
An overwhelming majority of PC games/versions support any existing game pads. Except for strategy games but you'll be fine with the multplatform titles. Even The Witcher 2 has 360 pad support long before a 360 version was announced.
I've played The Witcher 2 on my old PC (I reckon it's a medium spec by today's or even last year's standard) and it ran smoothly. Of course I can't accessed the highest level of graphical options (nowhere near the coveted Ubersampling) but the game is still beautiful to play with barely any blurred textures.
CDP has done a great job with this engine.
So what happens when the PC gets the Enhanced version?
I don't mind constant connectivity but having absolutely no control over your purchase is kind of creepy. It's funny he used auto downloaded demo as his example since demos are pretty rare these days.Especially since Epic has been busy with social gaming and getting their Unreal 3 engine to work on mobile devices.
I won't comment much about the "face-melting" graphic since everyone's have been talking and bickered about it since the dawn of pixels. W...
"Bleszinski also noted that he hopes future generation consoles require users to be constantly connected to the Internet. "
Ok then...I guess the PC gamers' reaction towards Ubisoft's own constantly connected to the internet DRM over the past 2 years was just pure fantasy written by some anonymous journalist somewhere. Nothing more than some urban legend that other developers/publishers should ignore.
That's what makes it special. We are all talking about the same Geralt. We know his scar and his womanizing ways. At the core of the game is his story. When someone said "Geralt" we all know who they talking about.
When people talked reverently about Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, I've always wondered about which one? Thanks to the character creator we could be referencing to any number of character from a black female Shepard to an Asian male Shepard. ...
What a flame-baiting. hit-whoring whiny raging troll of an article.
It brazenly accused Namco of backstabbing the console players and then say that there might be a possibility they might announce the extra content as DLC at later date. That's a bit contradictory to the article's main flaming point. How can you accuse someone that way even though everyone doesn't know Namco's plans after the PC release?

I don't have that much problem with GFWL. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I don't like in some GFWL games that you still have to insert the freaking disc to play, e.g. both Batman Arkham games.
Other than that, it's pretty decent. I have Red Faction Guerilla folder moved about between drives and PCs. GFWL detected it and activated it for that new PC/drive. No questions asked. Quite convenient.
All that and no mention of The Witcher. Even Obama was given a copy of the novel.
Ok...YAY!! I'm rejoicing.
Now, get rid of the co-op crap from Lost Planet 2 and give us an open world to explore (or at least an exciting singleplayer campaign in a semi-open world). I want to customize my mech they way I want and kill tons indigenous creatures. If they are tree-hugging blue aliens with pet dragons, the better.
I see games as the next step in education - if treated the right way (otherwise it'll just be cheap entertainment or nefarious political propaganda). Look at Assassin's Creed, RPGs or even the Total War series not at their fantasy stories but at their makers' attention to detail in the game world. I do find it much more interesting to explore in those worlds instead of reading them in some old textbooks.
Speaking of books, there are countless books and lores in R...
I really can't believe the Sims hasn't ventured into social gaming yet. All that potential (millions of women gamers who are into The Sims) and Facebook.
I don't remember any of the character backstories in Street Fighters 4. I just pressed X to skip the cut scenes to get to the next round.
I still find it an enjoyable game regardless of whatever stories it has.
Games do keep my mind off pain to a certain degree. I've always turn to gaming whenever I have a headache so I won't rely on medication too much. In my view I need something to isolate the pain and let it gradually go away without me noticing it.
Games had helped me ignore the pain caused by a torn ligament in my knee inflicted during a soccer match. It took months to feel better (not fully heal) only for me to start playing again and made it worse. Then the cycle re...
I don't know about crack but I do find it annoying. For some reason in the past several weeks there's a surge of notifications from my FB friends inviting me for a Zynga game. A month ago I hardly receive any but now there's a flood of them.
I don't play any FB games and I'm not going to start.
I have to diagree with graphic being not an innovation. Graphical advancement is an innovation in its own right but there has been too much confusion with a lot of people equating it with gameplay. Graphic and gameplay are two separate elements but they can work seamlessly together. I don't think anyone would appreciate buying the futuristic 16 core consoles only to have the majority of their games have cell shaded 'artistic' graphics, do they?
