Why are these kinds of games even made? They look like crap, and play like last-gen titles. They have no originality in terms of story of gameplay. They just seem to be riding off the success of the film franchise. Why do developers subject themselves to this?

Um... yeah. That's why we waited 5 years for it. We didn't wait 5 years for people to tell us that we didn't need for all the cars to have cockpit view and fully designed interiors.
During that time they decided to add Nascar, which I assure you only a small percent of the North American population actually gives a shit about.

If this is true, then it is truly disappointing. Over 800 cars that don't have interior cockpit views? Only 200 cars have cockpit views and realistic damage?
This article sounds like bullshit to me. I don't want this to be true because for the past 6 months all I've been hearing about this game is just how committed the developers have been to recreating every vehicle from scratch and adding damage, but now to hear that most of the models were just assets form ...

I guess this is good but why didn't Microsoft just make it so that the console won't overheat? I guess it's unavoidable but they bypassed the issue by making an automatic shut-off, which to me seems like an overly sophisticated solution to a simple problem.

Of course the title is misleading. If the title gave an accurate of the article, no one would read it and it would garner no hits. That's why most of the popular titles on this site have misleading and/or incendiary titles.

Demos are free. Regardless of this new announcement, people would have to play the games in order to get all the achievements, right? So what's the point of your post?
