DLC intended to extend the core experience, such as story-etension content, is the kind of content which can be argued to bear a price in that area, though it is rare the quality and value of the DLC matches the price. For instance, we could say the story extending DLC for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 is worth its price, but $8 for an extra character in a fighting game is NOT.
Simply because it is being utilized as consumer abuse. Overpriced map packs, character packs, costumes as well as modes and content already on the disc. It's shameful, but alas, it will continue, simply because most consumers have made themselves into cattle with the "gotta have it all!" mindset.
Just a case of a potentially good thing gone terribly wrong.
of personally disembowling all of the glitchers and laggers. Just finished another laggy night of Uncharted 2 multiplayer... <mutters violent and vulgar words under his breath>
Part of the fun was seeing the tournament through all of the characters' perspectives and getting the feel of their vehicles. Twisted Metal: Black did well with this formula and it's a shame this game isn't seeming to do a good job of expanding upon that formula. Online looks evolved, but this is a step back for single-player.
Price-Matching. They'll price-match any local competitor (notice: LOCAL competitor) when it comes to price. Only valid on in-store competition, not online. I take advantage of this when places like RadioShack or GameStop offer deals, especially during holiday shopping season.
It's a miracle these people find the time to take their hands from keyboards and controllers long enough to wipe up the drool dripping from their lips.
It's been awhile since I used my Japanese account, but I used to be able to change my PSN name in Account Management. There have been many times I've wanted to change my name on the US account, which would have saved me the trouble of making more accounts.
Surveys are a bit hopeless in the grand scheme of things. Chock one up to my hopefulness in a hopeless world; survey is signed.
Your comment made me laugh. Scamco-Bandai have had their fair share of questionable practices this generation, which is getting them into trouble, but one thing is for sure and that is Tales of Vesperia is one of the better JRPGs this generation. I want it to be localized, more than I want them to be punished for their foolishness.
Limbo looks great, but not 1200 points great. This year's Braid for sure.
I've never seen such angry words before reading SEGA's comment section, and I was one of the vicious bastards who threw verbal feces at Naughty Dog for fucking up the multiplayer in Uncharted 2!
Shame on SEGA and Rebellion for abandoning this game instead of fixing the broken mess they released. Not to mention how SEGA botched the PS3 port of Bayonetta, and if it weren't for Sony stepping in to fix it, it'd still be a broken mess too. Valkyria Chronicles is ...
1) Cheaper than SOME blu-ray players, where some reach the thousands, but there were several blu-ray players that cost sub-200 dollars.
2) Sony has been pumping out good exclusives since 2007, and these exclusives keep increasing in variety, quantity and quality. With exception to 1 year on the market where both the 360 and PS3 broke even, the PS3 has been consistently outselling, year-over-year, globally the 360, which is why the 6.1 million lead due to 1 year US, 1 and 1/2 EU exclu...

This applies to pretty much all Japanese game developers this generation, especially Square-Enix. Japan has lost its gaming identity, which is a shame, as I prefered Japanese games over Western all generations previous to this.
Deus Ex and Diablo franchise, please.
You really cannot blame jaredhart for choosing convenience here. I hate having to swap a game I have been playing just for the Netflix disc.
I am loving this new search function! Now I don't have to sign in to Netflix with the slow as mollasses web browser.
Originally, they said on the US and EU PS Blogs that the free DLC was yours to keep. Since then, Sony has been sending mixed signals, so it's good to ask and find the definitive answer. Now we know.
As the service currently stands, I find it much less attractive now knowing everything short of avatars and themes was temporary. If they add more features to the service, I might finally jump in.
As an added note, the reception of the service has been mix...
Oh! I'd love to see a next-gen House of the Dead with Move support. I'd also love to see a hack-and-slash/shooter first-person survival horror type game. Survival Horror genre is one that is severely lacking in abundance this gen.
I'd say the amount of negative press Kinect has received since CES is why people are calling it inaccurate. People criticize it for its lag, which I hope they manage to fix before its release this holiday. People criticize it for its current casual focus and lack of hardcore gaming application. People criticize it for its inability to register seated players (though, a dev has said games designed with seated position considered won't have this problem, but has yet to be shown). Al...
Isn't there a Move shooter which uses body motions for duck and cover? Was it Time Crisis or The Shoot?
Wish I bought the Valkyria Chronicles DLC when it was on sale for 2.99. Next time it is, I'm picking up all 4 packs.
