Hands down, PSone and PS2 era Silent Hill was the greatest horror franchise, however, it went to crap when Konami began outsourcing their franchise to untalented Western hacks. Vatra or whatever they're called, is the final hope for Silent Hill to be redeemed.
As it currently stands, there is one fighter championing the horror genre this gen, and it is Dead Space, only because the other contenders aren't what they used to be.
The original Resident Evil back in 1994 or whenever was a far superior horror experience than Dead Space. While Alone in the Dark is considered the grandaddy of survival horror, Resident Evil launched and brought with it a unique experience that scared the shit out of me (I was 11), giving me a love (or fear) of the survival horror genre, and developing a phobia of zombies and being in the woods at night. Dead Space is unquestionably better (in most ways) to the direction Resident Evil is h...
And I agree with your opinion. While I did have fun with RE5, it was an abomination for the franchise. Weak plot, no horror and an action game that lacked action game controls. Two of the saving graces for the title was the upgrading/unlocking as well as online co-op.
Dead Space, though an unoriginal game, was very good. It presented a moody environment that built tension with its dark environments, ambient sound and play on paranoia. It managed to take the horror crown ...
I never was a big fan of Legend of Dragoon, because, at that time, I was so spoiled with Final Fantasy and other SquareSoft RPGs. Amazon has Legend of Dragoon for about $20, which I've been tempted many a time to pick up and give it another go.
I have been screaming for the last two years: Vagrant Story and Xenogears. I never got into Suikoden, but I've heard good things.
First thing that came to my mind too, SDV_v3.
While I don't think the increase in HDD size of the 120GB to 160GB will significantly change that model's sales, I thought it absolutely brilliant making the 320GB SKU exclusive with the Sports Champions Move bundle; a great value at $399. I wish the newer models had updated wireless-N wifi, though, as I'm only clocking around 9.7MBps on a 20MB connection using a Gigabit Wireless-N router.
I'm perfectly fine with Zeke's new look. The only thing that needed to be changed from the original, in my opinion, was the gay street clown look.
Come on, guy. Don't be a douche. Apply

I agree. Just seems odd to revert back to old Cole while sporting a new voice. I didn't like the change at first, but grew to love the metro-chic Cole with hair. I'm afraid I'll never grow to love this new change. At least the game should still kick major ass.
You obviously know nothing about Kojima or his catalog. He's a bit closed-minded when it comes to outside input on his work, but he's pretty humble and a hell of an insecure perfectionist.
As for his work, he's contributed:
Metal Gear franchise, Zone of the Enders franchise, Snatcher and Policenauts.
That's over 20 years in the industry. If you have a capable PC, I recommend picking up a good emulator and playing the Sega CD version ...
Internet killed the retail star.
You've got that right. Talented programmer and a rocket scientist.
The "glow sticks" presentation at E3 '09 was a last minute inclusion to the presentation, though the actual work on the Move has been going through experimental and testing stages since the early 2000s. Even with the last-minute effort, what they showed with the prototype Move was still less-laggy, more accurate and more responsive a year ago than the current product of Kinect.
It'll be difficult to answer the last part of your question, considering I don...
I agree, Netflix is an awesome service, which I enjoyed being able to watch the Showtime and Starz programming via streaming instead of having to pay for the cable package. The only two gripes I have about Netflix is the 1-month exclusivity retail outlets like Blockbuster have on some new releases and the absolute lack of anime streaming.
For the "low, low" price of $7.99 you can purchase an extra character for your game!
Inb4 people who support over-priced DLC and those who use the "But-but it's a budget title!" excuse.
Most likely a mixture of market saturation and the mainstream transition of console to handheld this gen. Nintendo is making a killing with the DS over there.
I REALLY wanted one, but the premium (rip-off) price and the fact you can just buy a PSP-3000 and a 16GB SD card cheaper, not to mention being limited to the less-flexible pricing of games on the PSN turned me off. If Sony found a way to work out the licensing and find a way to transfer UMDs to the PSPgo would have helped the sales a bit more.
I'd imagine the sales of the PSPgo aren't much better elsewhere, but as long as Sony can sell the stock they have left from t...
I bet Adam Sessler is creaming in his pants, considering these were his favorite games last generation. I passed on them, and I'm glad I did; now I get to play through all three of these in their definitive, 60fps HD glory for a bargain price.
Now, if we can only get a release date...
"Sony needs more days like today because this entire year 360 has been gaining momentum and pretty much showing it's the only console that matters."
Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about? How is Microsoft convincing anyone the 360 is the only console that matters? Until the release of the XBOX 360 S in July, Sony's Slim has been dominating in most markets except the North American. A 6.1 million lead due to at LEAST a year's exclusivity in th...
