I'm one of those in the "Metal Gear's story is not confusing" camps, so it doesn't make sense to me how people can be confused by the lore of its universe. Of course, my two favorite franchises of last generation were Metal Gear and Silent Hill, both known for deep and complex storylines.

DLC, or at the very least, offer a trade-up program that knocks $20 off the new price.

This cycle of releasing a new game every year with only stat changes or minor tweaks is simply ridiculous. I haven't bought a sports game since the PS2 era, honestly, though I almost got this year's MLB The Show.

I held off on buying Dragon Age, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed II and plan on holding off on Fallout: New Vegas. The ultimates and GOTY editions are inevitable.

Nintendo just has to slap Mario, Link or another one of its mascots on the cover and it's guaranteed to be a multi-million selling game. Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, etc. are also hugely successful titles.

Just a shame most third-party developers don't have much success on the console, though quite a bit of it is shovelware.

Glad to see you have journalistic integrity.

That was sarcasm.

Some decent titles there, which sadly won't become deals over in the States for awhile. I would love to pick up an Assassin's Creed 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY versions with all the DLC.

Careful what you wish for. You'll most likely be paying 5 fucking dollars PER character, knowing Crapcom's DLC practices. The only reason I didn't buy SFIV or SSFIV is because I expect to see yet another version of the same game to be released next year.

I share your sentiment about single player campaigns, and Uncharted 2 definitely has an exciting one at that. By no means am I saying the multiplayer portion is a worthless pile of crap without any fun factor, because I wouldn't have spent over 550 hours playing it if it wasn't. However, in all my time playing it (which is obviously a hell of a lot), I have noticed a lot of unresolved and increasing issues with it. Lag being one of the biggest problems.

I've always felt Japan gets the better cover art, especially for RPGs. Even with the pink, this looks beautiful. Waiting until it drops down to $19.99 or less before I pick up the PS3 version, considering how crap the port turned out.

Namco refusing to allow the localization of the Tales games for the PS3 is right up there with Square-Enix's stubborness of releasing Xenogears, Vagrant Story, and other PSone classics in North America's PSN. These companies don't like money!

Play the first one and you'll see why we feel this way. :P

I've seen so many people say UC1 was more difficult than UC2, but it just wasn't that way for me. UC2 on Crushing can be so frustrating, so brutal and CHEAP with the flanking and grenades that I damn near threw my controller through the television!

I actually enjoyed the enemy encounters in UC1, especially near the latter half of the game. Plus, come on, there was a lot more Sully! Beautiful locations and music as well. And Elena...sweet Elena... :P

Uncharted 2 provides one hell of a bang for your buck. I've played through the single player campaign at least 7 times and have spent over 400 hours playing the multiplayer. In the beginning, I would have agreed to paying $100 for this game (technically, I DID spend about $120 buying it twice, as well as $12 for both map packs), but with the broken state the multiplayer is in, I've lost so much passion with the game.

I say Uncharted 2's multiplayer is broken, be...

I enjoy the first game's campaign more than the second, though the second one is more polished graphically, has tighter controls and great cinematic presentation. I personally feel it has a more enjoyable story and set of locations.

Talent didn't rest solely in the hands of Lennon and McCaurtney, as Harrison, and to a lesser extent Ringo Starr, contributed to some of the most famous of their catalogue. Harrison contributed "Here Comes the Sun", "Tax Man", as well as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (with Eric Clapton on guitars, which the union created the events leading to the composing of Derrick and the Dominoes' "Layla"), while Ringo contributed songs like "With a L...

The reason why GTA IV, RDR and other games don't fair as well on PS3 as 360 isn't due to an inherent weakness of the PS3, but due to a lack of engine optimization and a laziness on part of the developers themselves. When the CELL is properly utilized, spreading the processing and calculation tasks to the SPUs, the RAM can be properly used to provide what we've seen only through the exclusives on the PS3. However, very few developers actually do this (or even have an incentive to...

Your sister needs to see a priest to get the SUCK exorcised out of her! Definitely not my taste in music, but people will enjoy what they enjoy... Kudos on getting your younger brother to appreciate such a metal legacy as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.

It's true, the US has had its entertainment industry (music, television, movies) absolutely butchered. Europe is the last bastion for all that is rock and metal.

I'm a gamer of over 20 years, a progeny of classic rock loving parentage. I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Who and the Beatles. It goes without saying that I am a self-proclaimed gamer and lover of the Beatles. However, generations after me, people growing up in this bullshit mass-produced culture of teeny-boppers, boy band-loving, faux punk and emo whiner music fans either don't know The Beatles, don't care or consider them vastly overrated ...
