... are they really worth spending $60 a year for? No. Fact is most of us pay only because we want to play some basic no frills multiplayer, which Sony let you do for free. MS can piss off with their lame excuses. Why not make features like facebook and cross party chat optional extras that u pay for and cut the cost for gamers like me who just wanna play? I'm sick of subsidising this stuff for other people!
... it gets ruined by morons, or brats, or people who take it too seriously and would rather quit out of a game than finish the match like an adult. The pros are definitely balanced out by the cons.
I'd much rather be sat playing a really immersive single player adventure than waiting in lobbies or listening to an 8 year old sing down his headset about how he just headshotted me.
are a bunch of bastards.
... sucked balls. Boring quests, short story, awful map, bad camera. It had its fun moments, but it ended before it had a chance to really get good. I will be skipping Fable III and spending my time on something worthwhile. A shame, cos Lionhead is one of the few remaining Great British Developers.
Looks generic and boring. Unless it brings something new to the table in terms of the nanosuit powers or something then this is a pass for me, maybe a rent for the single player. I realise this is pre-alpha, but its not even necessarily about the graphics (which look far inferior to Killzone 2 at this stage), but rather the same old FPS multiplayer that I've played a million times before and always gotten bored of.
Errr nooo. The 360 was the lead platform for Bayonetta, ported over by some crappy third party company who clearly didn't know what they were doing. PS3 was the lead platform for Vanquish and more care was taken by Platinum to port it properly (and they are now familiar with both consoles) hence platform parity.
Man alive there are some rabid, mouth-breathing fanboys on N4G...
I imported from the US, played it nearly to completion, then bought the Black Phantom edition when it released in the UK. Have barely touched it though, I'm ashamed to say. I NEED to get back to it soon though...
Hopefully this has served to raise FROM's profile, and if they can produce a sequel that lives up to the brilliance of the first I will be at the front of the queue to buy it. The story in DS was so threadbare that they could easily work in a sequel, no pro...
New video of the Last Guardian, hope it's some new footage.
Other than that, and the HD Team Ico videos, .... meh.
It's not Sega slashing the prices, it's the retailers. Sega are still stating the RRP is £39.99, so thumbs down if the campaign is really that short.
However, I think a lot of people are misunderstanding this game. I expect it will probably take most people more like 6-10 hours to finish, depending on the difficulty level (4 hours was probably on easy). Also, this a 'score attack' game which has been given a bit of a storyline, but is essentially just a...
US centric much? There is a world outside the US guys. Widen your minds.
This is top news. been hoping for this cos I'm a subscriber and massive movie fan. Just hope they don't limit it to just pre 2009 films.
Duh, I know that numbnuts. I meant guts as in commitment. He flew at it full throttle and didn't hesitate or flinch, from what I could tell.
That window is about two inches wider than that plane, approaching it at 300mph, a difficult to fly plane, and bearing in mind planes in JC2 explode at literally the slightest touch. And you are still not impressed?! Some people... Fair play to the guy, took guts and skill.
Played through about a third to half the game on Legendary in system link 4 player with some pals the other day, it was pretty goddam difficult. Constant grenade and bullet hell, getting sniped from a mile away, Wraiths nailing us around corners I swear... Just bough it for myself and gonna try Heroic I think... :)
I never finished this on Gamecube, and only just re-bought it for my PS2 the other day! Still, only cost me £1.50 (including postage!) so hardly a great loss. I shall def get this from PSN cos it was massively rated, and to be honest it looks appalling on the old hardware, blown up to 40" widescreen...
Edge is exceptionally well written and continues to be so today. It actually assumes the reader isn't a total moron and can understand words of more than one syllable.
How the hell do you qualify a 2% difference in quality? What benchmarks are you using? It's this insane obsession with miniscule differences in scoring something which is COMPLETELY OBJECTIVE (I.E. A MATTER OF OPINION) that is ruining video games journalism. You don't get this in the movie or music business, where things are usually scored out of 5 and people just accept that different reviewers have different opinions.
For a start, Edge don't operate on fractions, but on whole scores. Secondly, it's been said a million times before but they use the WHOLE range of 1-10, so an average game = 5. Therefore an 8 is a VERY GOOD GAME with a couple of small problems. How is this confusing to you people? Other sites mostly seem to use only 7-10, or 5-10 at best. This is the reason that Edge's scores seem skewed. In fact it is every other site that is doing it WRONG! I remember in the 90s when mags routin...
What the hell are you on about, man? Clunge is one of the prettiest (and comfiest) things on the planet.
Anyway, everyone knows it's beef curtains, not sandwich.
was better.
...that is a shit-hot deal. You're looking at more like $1800 (£1200) for the TV alone in the UK.
