This looks completely AI generated. Loot boxes have been around for close to 10 years now...
If you are sick of video games, Game Pass is not for you.
Tldr; author is annoyed they can't make a permanent sandwich mountain in ToTK.
Idk, do they look alike or do we not have very many examples of this type of game yet? I think they kinda look a like -- but so do a lot of fantasy games with dwarves and elves.
Right? People be upset that a game isn't a complete replacement for life.
They could do a lot more to make the combat elements a lot more fun -- maybe bring some of the game play concepts from Dungeons over to the main game? The 1.9 update removed the "spammy" gameplay mechanics and maybe replaced it with more fair mechanics but overall less fun for me.
Where does Valve draw the line? It seems like there are plenty of adult-only games on the Steam store.
It isn't random. It is in response to statements made by someone from CDPR.
I'm looking forward to this but I also really enjoyed the original NSMB and NSMBU a heck of a whole lot. I don't think NSMBU gets enough love, but oh well. It is actually a decently challenging Mario game with a fun to unlock special world reminiscent of SMW.
I haven't bought a single XBox game this generation. With the way they handled "Smart Delivery" it really seemed pointless to me, and Game Pass makes it even more pointless. I suspect I will most likely purchase Starfield on PC and play it on Xbox via Game Pass if I'm subscribed.
Me too. This is basically the last big release I'm looking forward to this year. I hope the others one are good, but I'm not looking forward to those as much as this one. The base game was fantastic and so more of the same would be just fine for me.
Reading all of these comments from Bethesda fans regarding Starfield has made me realize that I'm not really a Bethesda fan. I thought I was but I don't have the mentality for it, apparently. If I had to guess, the reason it has the same old Jank as old Bethesda games is because it is using the same old engine as those games which could explain why they have performance issues on target hardware.
I'm so happy that you are so optimistic. I'm not. The Series X has been out since 2020 and the only thing that has really stood out to me has been Forza Horizon. I love that I can still play all my old games on the Series X -- hope these new ones coming in the next year pan out.
WE GET IT! The game isn't 30 fps because a Microsoft studio missed the target on the Microsoft console - it is because Bethesda made CHOICES! #ImWithDreamcastGuy
I'd like just one really good game at 2023 frame rates.
For me it hinges on how much the gameplay revolves around the first person shooter mechanics that they showed in their demo this past week. If the primary gameplay loop is mostly that, I think 30 fps was a terrible choice, and if you think that it is an artistic choice then you are probably a terrible artist. If that represents a small part of the gameplay and it is more RPG focused, then it might still be OK so long as it doesn't have stutters and 20fps dips. I'll still mostly be pla...
I doubt we will get a 60 fps mode patched into this one. I certaintly wouldn't be holding my breath for it.
I frankly don't think dreamcastguy was necessarily wrong -- I don't think any of us really know yet but we will on release. To him it looked unfinished -- and when I especially watch the first person shooter sequences they showed off, I would have to agree with him (even though I disagree with a lot of what he says).
Someone posted a magazine scan of a review of a 486 talking about a smooth 20 fps experience in Doom. People's expectations change over the years. IMO, it is time to bury 30 fps in the past.
Everyone on day one: The game feels more meaningful by being slower pace. Now: Drop rates are meaningless if we can't be killing lots of things quickly.
