Honestly, I find it amusing how all the incel hater left over rejects from gamer's gate lose their shit every time a non-scantily clad female protagonist is announced. Lol, they should just get out of gaming -- clearly it isn't for them anymore.
I think people wanting to put together a gaming PC right now as an alternative to a PS5 Pro (which it really isn't) shouldn't spend less than $1,000. If I shop around I can cobble together a nVidia 4070 (non-super) paired with an AM4 mobo+ram bundled with a 5700X3D add a case, power supply, M.2 SSD, and that is around $1,200. Much better than a PS5 Pro since it would be a much better processor. Trying to get to that $700 price point introduces too many compromises and wouldn't be ...
Exactly. People really try to frame it as an either-or-scenario but that just isn't right. Gaming is a hobby and a relatively cheap one as an adult. Most people interested in a PS5 Pro already have the $2,000 gaming PC. They aren't interested in one or the other but just having the best gaming experiences.
"There is no beating around the bush, to spend that much money at once is not for everyone. You can safely say that PS5 Pro is a luxury product."
It's not, though, in the same way that smartphones are not considered luxury products.
I'm planning on getting one because I'm a gamer and would like to have the best experiences in gaming. But please, don't gaslight me with this nonsense when the optical drive and stand add $110 to the price tag when they should be included.
I have a gaming PC with a 4080S that is much much better than a PS5 Pro, and I still plan to get a PS5 Pro because I enjoy playing Playstation games in my living room.
The problem with PC gaming (and has been for awhile) is that all we get are console ports of games anyway. Actual PC games are far and few between. Sure, we have the best hardware by far, but we are not going to be receiving any games that don't scale well and play well on console.
After dealing with the Prince of Persia Lost Crown game on Epic Store + Ubisoft launcher, I think I'll pass on this one. If it were on Steam I probably would have gotten it already. Epic is suck.
This. It is priced this way so they can continuously advertise them as being "on sale."
I'd probably play it more if I could transfer my Blizzard app one to Steam. I have installed it on my Steam Deck but everytime there is an update it can be a pain.
I don't like this trend of carving out characters from the original game and selling them a week or two after launch as DLC extras.
I knew it. I played through this earlier this year. When it comes out you can thank me, guys.
I'm having an absolute blast, and I'm a very mediocre player. Just use the summons and your spirit ashes if you think a boss is too hard. Nobody is forcing you to play the game in the most difficult way possible.
I'm four bosses in and I'm really enjoying it so far. I haven't really encountered any areas that made think it was unfinished or empty, yet.
They wanted the DLC to feel challenging no matter how min/maxed your character is, and I think that the Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ash approach is just fine for that.
So is this the final nail in the coffin for a Series X "Pro"? Is it still possible to have not have leaked yet?
I don't want a next-gen version of a game I've already played to death. Skyrim was a great game, but I'm over it.
Game Pass isn't for me. I'm not looking for the best value in gaming, I'm looking for the best experiences in gaming.
Not sure what the issues were with this one, but in general, I would say one reason being player expectations for modern games. Games from the late 90s/early 2000s were small (less than 100) teams and the assets (3d models, textures, etc.) were very low quality and therefore didn't take as long as to develop/polish as they do today. There were a lot of really large scoped games back then that would be difficult to develop to today's standards.
There were 721 cars in...
There are games that can do 120fps just fine on PS5 like Doom Eternal.
